|Patricia Dunford||Catherine Nowlin Graves|
Find A Grave Memorial# 34008033
Her name is Catherine Nowlin Graves, not Nolin. She was the daughter of William and Lucy (Berger) Graves. Lucy was the daughter of Jacob and Catherine (Nowlin) Berger.
Catherine was the daughter of Bryan W Nowlin and Lucy Wade.
I'm sure the spelling back when Bryan was in Pittsylvania County, Virginia, was sometimes Nolin/Nolan and other things, by the time it was give to Catherine Nowlin Graves it was pretty standard.
If you have other information, I'd love to see it. I've just never seen that spelling.
Pat Dunford (her 2nd greatgranddaughter)
I don't know. I am still researching. We spoke once a number of years ago, but I was busy....so doubt you remember me. I was visiting cousin Willis Dalton memorial and saw you and guessed, but sadly, I don't know our connection yet. I'm still doing research. My line goes; My GGG Grandparents are William and Rebecca, GG Mary Ann md Wm David, then G Rosay, then Grandpa.
I am the one that has the only "Original" photograph of My GG Grandma and three of her sisters. Not sure if you'll remember that.
Sorry, It's been a number of years. I was very excited because you were the first 'Cecil' I had met from what I was told....is family?
But, sorry. I don't know our connection at this time.

May I have your permission to download the gravestone photo for Mary Goodrich Dimock? I would like to use it on my family tree on Ancestry - with photo credit to you, of course. Thank you for your consideration. Regards John

Oops I may have sent two edit requests for place of birth - IF I did, the CORRECT state of birth was Iowa (per 1940 census when he was living with son.)
Just curious what you think her parents are then?

Thank you so much for all of your contributions. May I have your permission to use your photos in my family tree on Ancestry.com? I would certainly give you credit for your contributions. Glad to see you are also putting your name on your photos. Great idea!
