I have been researching my family tree for 35 years. I know how difficult it is to find info on one line of my family. Hopefully, I can help others find their loved ones easier. I still cannot find anything on my Great Grandfather Simon Henry Myers b. PA 1817 or his family. Supposedly he moved to Ohio, Indiana and then Illinois where he died. He sometimes spelled his name Myres on Fed Census. If anyone has information on the Myers family, please share with me.

PLEASE use the memorial Suggestion method from the EDIT tab. I receive a lot of email updates a day. Without this information your update will be delayed or ignored.

I would be delighted to transfer any memorial to a relative. Just write and ask. My goal is to document as many cemeteries as possible for genealogy research.

Margaret Trowbridge Stowell
Dear Monkey Cat:

I've deleted my memorial to Margaret Trowbridge Stowell because I inadvertently created a duplicate. You left a token on my memorial, which will now disappear. If you want to leave another token on the correct memorial, please feel free to do so. Sorry for my mistake.

Best wishes,
Mary Jo

RE: Tower/Davis
Thank you! I try not to duplicate memorials if I see one is already there. I just discovered this today when preparing to update our directory

Find A Grave Change
A friend told me about this change a couple days after this was deployed. I have sent edits to you so I thought maybe you didn't know about it. You might want to pass it on to your friends. thanks!!! ~Peggy

New "Automated" system for "Suggest a Correction/Submit an Edit"

******Please Note******
New System for Memorial Edits deployed by FindAGrave on 12/5/2013

Go to your Contributor/Profile page.
Look in the upper right corner. You should now see a tab called "Edits" - check there to see if any have been submitted to you.
Then just review and accept.

Way easier for doing updates to names / dates / places / plot #s.

You still will get e-mails to add info to bio section or do linking.

RE: William & Mary Pennington.
Sorry that I apparently have offended you. I no longer contact anyone on Find A Grave privately unless I know them personally. If it cannot be done in a public manner then I cannot transfer memorials to you. You could just as easily have stated in you original request exactly how you were related to William V. and Mary Pennington. It was you who chose not to do so. I do not have to transfer them to you since you did not give me your exact relationship. Sorry but I tried to do this nicely.

William & Mary Pennington.
Please state your exact relationship. They may be your grandparents but it cannot be a close one giving the year William died. Please send me your exact relationship such as; my great-great-great grandparents or how ever many great's they are. Thanks, Farm Girl from MO.

Simon Henry Myers family
Hi again: I have been looking at what you already have & it may be more than I've found.

If you have checked census, you already know David Birdley is listed as Laborer, residing at 8816 Buffalo Ave, Ward 8, Chicago.
Simon has a death date of 4 Dec 1902 at Cook Co, ILL.

Would you rather I put data, on each edit page of any I find, or send an email? If you have access to all the census, you are probably up on all that. Cheers~ Shirleen

Thank you for putting up my Grandmothers tombstone. I was very touched seeing it as well as you leaving a memorial behind.

My Grandfather, Guss L Vopalensky, actually hand carved this stone after Marjorie died. The broken piece on the top was where he had put a picture of Marjorie. It was broken off by vandals. Marjorie died of tetanus and left three boys behind.

I have been trying to get a couple of photographs up with your picture of Marjorie.

Again, thank you for doing this. It means a lot to our family.

Thank you so much for photographing this headstone. Someone who saw I was looking for my Great-great grandfather told me where to find him. I'm so grateful!!!!
