I was born & raised & still reside in Tacoma, WA. I became interested in family history when a girl and enjoyed hearing the stories my aunts & uncles would tell of their childhood with my mother in the state of Maine. I have been researching for almost 55 years, and worked in the genealogy libraries locally for over 25 yrs., a member of Mary Ball DAR for 33 years, and have received 2 certificates of appreciation from the City of Tacoma for my work in the public library, genealogy division. Recently awarded a certificate from the Washington State Gen. Soc for genealogical contributions since 1957. My husb. & I have walked through many graveyards, and have charted several that were rural graveyards and hope to enter the data for others to view. Have a special interest in my mother-in-laws family from Central Louisiana. Think this is a wonderful website. | |

 | RE: Lila (Buck) Rehn # 80043296 Hi Glenda - I just put the information out there, but however you want to handle it is just fine with me. Very few people have responded that are looking for their families. I'm almost done adding what I can of the Germans from Russia, and then I'll quietly disappear. But, I will answer all inquiries if they arise. Thank you for your help...JudiAdded by Yeschke on Mar 30, 2013 11:27 AM | | | Liz Stanley

 | Cemetery's & Possibly Book Lookup Mrs Glenda can you do a lookup in a book. I am not sure when the DOD is or exactly where burial would be. It will be either Avoyelles or Rapides Parish. I am not even sure you will find it in a book yet. I am looking for Hortense "Artonise" Dauzat Saucier born about 1900, she married Andrew "Andy" Lee Saucier, I have his DOB as 12/6/1894 & DOD as 1/14/1963.
Also I drove to the cemeteries you told me about and couldn't seem to find Slocum & Hopewell but I did find Cole, photographed all available there and went back to Tyler & photographed some there. It was hot so didn't stay extremely long. Was trying to beat the rain this weekend with that trip. Maybe another trip I can find them, going to do another internet search for location. Thanks, CherrieAdded by C & J on Sep 28, 2012 11:18 AM | | | | [View all messages...] |
