My motivation is to provide historical records to others. "Pay it forward." If what I've posted helps you in your genealogy or provides you some comfort because you can visit a grave from near or far, then my mission is accomplished and I urge you to help others in the same way.|
Am looking for family of origin of Frank Kubik and John Henry Sullivan, please be on the lookout for me and leave a message on this page below if you find them or have clues :)
If you have any add'l info or corrections on any of the memorials I have posted please use the "EDIT" tab on the memorial to send me a "correction or suggestion." I am most willing - and passionate - to make the memorials as detailed as possible and will create links to family and respond to requests for transfer of management promptly! I welcome your corrections and urge all findagrave contributors to share info; respond to updates and create links :) Again, please use the "EDIT" tab on the particular memorial(s) you are making reference to.
Upon my death I authorize any of my memorials to be transferred as they are requested.
[thanks to FAG Cathy Clark for this statement on her contributor page as this is my desire and agreement wholeheartedly - perfect and appropriate]
Do It Now
I expect to pass through this world
Any good thing, therefore, that I can do
or any kindness that I can show
to any fellow human being
let me do it now.
Let me not defer nor neglect it,
for I shall not pass this way again.

|P.Leukhardt||RE: George Henry Howes 107619024|
I have the following information:
daughter of Alonzo Lilly Howes and Emily White Gates (2nd wife) is
Edith Anna Howes b. 17 Nov 1873, d. 21 Jun 1944, bur. Gardner, MA, married 5 Nov 1895 to Gilson W. Hunting. Edith was born in Greenfield, Ma.
Alonzo and Emily were married in Greenfield, MA 14 Feb 1873, Emily's first marriage.
son George Henry Howes b. 4 Mar 1875, d. 11 Nov 1946, married 30 Jun 1898 to Abby Geneva Covill, Abby born 20 May 1880.
I would look for son George to have been born in Greenfield, MA the same as his older sister Edith.
|treerpgmo||Lydia L. (CUMMINGS) SEARS-DYER-HALL-CROSS (1831-1911)|
Thank you very much. I added her biographical details to my internal database and added Lydia to my virtual cemeteries for the families she was related to upon her 2nd marriage to Newell DYER. This is an interesting case of beware of woman's surname on a gravestone that is not that of the husband she is buried beside. Usually it is a maiden name or a middle name but in this case it is the surname of husband #4 Lemuel CROSS whom Lydia died as his widow though she is buried beside her first husband. Gravestones do tell stories sometimes unexpected ones.
|Bette Hartman||John D. Kelso|
Very little information on John. I found a birth record at MA Archives site;
Births: 1854 Vol. 81 Page 290
Born in Chester, Hampden, MA, the son of Joseph & Clarissa Kelso.
No record of marriage or death could be found.
|Bette Hartman||Clarissa Day Kelso|
Thank you for the information on Clarissa Day Kelso. I have updated her memorial and that of her children. However, you noted that her death record on familysearch.org gave her name as Clarissa Kelse. I have accessed the Massachusetts Archives web site and obtain the book & page of her death record. Because I am a member of NEHGS I can access the print out of the record. The information on familysearch.org is incorrect as the death record clearly spells the name Kelso. Also, the records for the family in the Vital Records of Chester, Massachusetts all spell the name Kelso. I have sourced all my entries for Clarissa, her husband, Joseph and her three children that are buried in Eastman Cemetery in Chester, Massachusetts.
I thank you for bringing this to my attention, because I had neglected completing my entry for the Kelso family, and it is now done. Happy Thanksgiving and Happy Researching!!
|Claudia Shuttleworth||John Davison Smith|
I am trying to find the article you posted about John Davison Smith (1835-1906) from Dalton,Ma
in the book : Historic Homes and Institutions and Genealogical and Personal Memoirs of Berkshire County, Massachusetts By Rollin Hillyer Cooke Published by Lewis Pub. Co., 1906 beginning on page 249:
I may have the wrong book or page but I cant find it. Also Leroy P.Adams was a step grandson of John Smith, not a step son.Any help would be appreciated on the book or page. Thank you very much, Claudia

Thank you for the transfers.
|jefhamp13||RE: Wrisley in Dfld|
Yes I would be willing to manage them. All of the Wrisley's in Mill River Cemetery are my relatives. I will send requests via edit for each of them. Thank you!

Thanks for passing along the obit; it appears I came across it myself at some point, but the entire writeup will make a good addition to our files.
Have a Happy Turkey Day! Linda
