Thankx for the information about the stones. I've walked over a couple of ground bee nests, but I've never seen a snake! I must be too noisy!

Hello--I see you had photographed this stone in the Morgan-Townslee cemetery a number of years ago. I wonder if you can please tell me what material it is carved from, and if there are any others like it in that cemetery. It looks like a type of dove-gray marble that I see sporadically in my area on very old stones. It characteristically tends to split by "delaminatng", almost like slate. Many of our early settlers and stone carvers came from that area of Vermont, and I've wondered if that is where the stones were shipped from.
Thanx. Holly K
Thank you for taking the pictures of his grave at Oak Hill in Pownal.

good morning! May I have your permission to use your photos of the gravestones of Josephine Carrier Laughna and her daughters in Heartwellville Cemetery on my ancestry.com family tree, with attribution to you? Thanks very much for your consideration. Gwen

A 5th cousin has found me and she had photos of my Quaker ancestor's gravestones. I was excited. I see that they must actually be in Maple St. Cemetery in the Quaker "part". Thanks for putting up a photo of that signage.

Thanks again for all of the photos.

I didn't realize that she was buried in the hemenway family plot in Hillside Cemetery. If you have a photo of her marker, I will created a request that you can claim. David Weise
