I am trying to photograph all tombstones of my personal extended family and enter them at findagrave. I am also trying to add photos of the deceased and am happy to share those photos. Please contact me if it seems that we share a line so we can compare notes.|
If there is a problem with an entry, please let me know. This is done with all sincerity to honor those who have gone on before and to preserve their memory for future generations.

My husband's grandfather was Henry Crockett Holder. We have that same picture that you posted of Delia and Henry.

I am so excited to see your post because it has not been easy to trace this line. William was my mother-in-law's father who was killed by a lightening strike on August 26, 1918 while trying to close the barn door because was coming, thereby causing his wife, Bettie, 7 months pregnant with their first child, to go into labor. The child was born that day, so tiny that no one expected her to live. Her mother named her William Hazel to honor her father. The baby was so small that she slept in a bureau drawer for weeks, and they had to buy an artificial formula to feed her because her mother's milk had not come in, and in those days, they thought formula was superior to mother's milk. She grew up, married Paul Shirley Wilson and bore him four big, healthy children (three large boys). My husband, William (Bill) likes to tell people that he was named after his mother, although he was named actually after his two grandfathers, Willim H. Minton and Allen A. Wilson. If you know any history that goes farther back, I would love to know it. Do you know what your connection with the family is? I have nothing to offer in return except this family story, but if you can think of anything I can do, don't hesitate to let me know.
Thanks so much for posting,
Cassie H. Wilson

I added a bio to Charles Jr. and linked him to the Vickers family. I thought you might want to look at it.

I just looked at your memorial and you do have a photo of the gravestone. Go ahead and copy the obit. and let me know so I will then delete my memorial.

Do you have a gravestone photo? If so, go ahead and copy the obit. to your memorial and then let me know. I will then delete mine. If you don't have the photo, I will transfer my memorial to you and you can add the information you have and delete your original.
