RE: Viola Jefferson Memorial
Yes, you can use the obits. You can either reword to satisfy the possibly copyright problems, do not post living people's names or as per Find A Grave help page:
Can I add a memorial from a newspaper obituary or other 3rd party source?
Find A Grave does not discourage the legitimate indexing of the deceased through obituaries or other 3rd party accounts. Newspapers represent a very good source of information as a public record. What we ask is that those who index and memorialize the deceased from newspapers and other 3rd party accounts do so with full respect of copyright, refrain from adding information about living people, and respond generously to the family of the deceased. If anyone related to the deceased feel unsatisfied with Find A Grave or the memorial manager, we ask that they contact us at support@findagrave.com for satisfactory resolution.

RE: Markham Com. Cem. Matagorda Co TX
Thanks for replying ,
They lived in Markham, she was born and died in that community, I was still a child at the time and can't bring up the memory of a funeral but
I would remember if my parents had gone out of town for a funeral and they didn't.

I tried most of today ,leaving messages at the library without results so far.She must be buried in Markham with a listed obit , I'm assuming.

If you don't want the researched history of people that lived in Markham, TX, I'll keep and
eventually make memorials for them.It was never my intent to build a contributors list for myself, I only want to build memorials for my family members, offering an informative memorial to satisfy the desire for those that can't travel
that's my goal.
Thanks for what you do to help so many

Mary Beth, an amazing Thank You for directing me
once again to Rootsweb, which I had forgotten again.i was amazed in what I saw and the person heading the genealogy's obit section is a community friend , we've known each other all our lives, a neighbor when I was growing up there.
I noticed the difference in spelling of surname, something I never actually noticed before.
If you have a PO Box I can send you a hard copy of research Clinton Wyrche and I did together of everyone in the community of Markham, TX , that is if you'd like to have it.
The are Flaggs that would like to contact you as well. If you'll let me know if you want this info contact me and I'll send.
I'll be contacting Shirley to offer info to her obit project as well.
Thank you so much for your unselfish help given to me through the years,

Thanks Mary Beth, for the info on Neldora

Did you make a Memorial for her ? If not go ahead
if you like,
I'm still having a problem with ATT's servive and my computer, haven't found solution yet.
Thank You Again,
