I have been working on my family genealogy for over 25 years. I discovered findagrave.com in mid 2009. I was so impressed with the helpful nature of people (photo requests, offers for obituary assistance etc.) that I feel a responsibility to give back to this community of volunteers.
I have fielded many requests to use the images that I have uploaded, so to make things simple, please feel free to copy and use any of the photos I've posted on findagrave.com. As far as I am concerned, the pictures I've taken and posted are now part of the public domain and can be used by anyone for any purpose. There is no desire on my part for ANY person who uses my photos to cite me in any way. I STRONGLY urge my fellow Contributors to do the same.
In the (likely) event of errors or omissions, once notified I will make every effort to make the correction within 24 hours and to acknowledge said correction.
As far as memorial transfers go, I WANT to transfer memorials to family members. This would be my preference. However, if you are not a family member but have additional pertinent information that you would like to add, just ask for the transfer and I will comply with your request. That being said, this is not a numbers game so let your conscience be your guide.
In closing, my heart felt thanks goes out to my fellow volunteers who have so generously and diligently worked to make this site such a valuable resource to the public.
Keep up the good work!!!!!!!

Yes, this is the right Mary Avila Picanso (born 1881/ died 1959), wife of Antonio/ Anthony C Picanso (who died in 1924). I would love to see whatever family pictures you are able to post.

|Bill Daugherty||RE: Jacob Bernheisel in Lebanon Lutheran Reformed Cemetery|
I appreciate you. You're a good guy.
Interestingly, Jacob's death has an interesting twist on more contemporary American politics. If Jacob didn't die, than Susanna Loy probably doesn't marry Nicholas Ickes. Susanna and Nicholas Ickes are the great-grandparents of Harold Leclair Ickes, Franklin Delano Roosevelt's Secretary of the Interior, and great-great grandparents of Harold M. Ickes, White House Deputy Chief of Staff under Bill Clinton.
My information on the Loy Family descendants comes from my cousin, Minnie Irene Daugherty (Findagrave 32193539), who got information from Harry Lenig and Florence Elizabeth Cooper (22224497). Minnie described Florence as a retired teacher, who likely knows more about the Loy Family in Perry County and their descendants, than anyone living, except Mr. Lenig.
This whole process for me begs the question, "Where is Harry Lenig buried?" It doesn't seem that there is a memorial for him in Findagrave.
|Bill Daugherty||Jacob Bernheisel|
Darla sent me a message that there are apparently duplicates for Jacob Bernheisel (70952243 and 121200808).
I have specific information that Jacob Bernheisel was buried in Buffalo Cemetery where his wife, Susanna Loy, was buried. I put in a photo request hoping to get confirmation of that.
I see that you have a memorial that Jacob was buried at Lebanon Lutheran and Reformed Churchyard (where Jacob's parents are buried). There is also a photo request for that as well.
I think we should wait and see what comes back to see if we can verify that he is buried in one cemetery or the other. Maybe there could be a monument in both, or perhaps no monument at all.
If you got any better ideas, let me know.
Thank you for the photos of Daniel O'Connell's grave marker in St. Patrick's Cemetery. I can't believe you took them so soon after I submitted my request! Thanks again.
