Bio and Links
Bio Photo I served in the Army and Army Reserve for over 25 years with more than 15 years in the public affairs arena.
My experience runs the gamut from working at the U.S. Army Field Station at Camp Humphreys, Korea to running the day-to-day operations of the Press Camp Headquarters at Fort Shafter, Hawaii.
Various positions have included work as a newspaper editor, educational publications, community and media relations, as well as marketing.
For the past five years I have been dedicating time to findagrave.com primarily adding records for my extended family, friends and veterans' and local cemeteries.
Additionally, in late 2012 I completed my application and was accepted into the Daughters of 1812, my first lineage society.

temps
i had 3 but 2 of them have already been filled over this last week by someone. i generally only take the pic of them templates, to get the number of the grave for future reference. if you want the single i have, make a single and call the file X in the last name box. i will post the template there and you can fill in the rest.

i do however have about 60 photos that are really light, and i dont know how to fix them with paint. have tried a few things but havent found the right combination yet. a lot of these photos were in section 58a, where there is no ink inscribed in the marker.

i also have photos of all of the Columbariums but those arent readable as well.

My fiancÚ and I might be able to help you in this worthy activity. I will not be available to discuss this with you for a couple of weeks, due to prior commitments.

I've got someone already thinking about an Eagle Scout project involving this kind of activity.

Let's try to hook up via email around July 15th or so.

RE: Leavenworth National Cemetery
I live in platte city. I do work fulltime so can't get as many photos as I'd like but do love to go when I can. I have a friend who helps me. What would you like for us to do?

Thank you for the correction. I might've missed the funeral due to not knowing there were 2 Fort Leavenworth Cemeteries!

Florence E. Toomey
Hi Mary Ann,
Back in 2011 you created a memorial for Florence Toomey 74709723. Restvale Cemetery in Seneca Falls has no record of that burial. That doesn't mean she's not buried there though! Do you have any further information that might help me find the location? I am trying to fulfill a photo request. Thank you.

Jeff

PS- you have a link to her parents. In Auburn New York, 15 miles away.

RE: Visit
Mary Ann, There a a couple of places in downtown Leavenworth that we could meet. Tenpenny is a possiblity. It is at 6th and Cherokee, and has plenty of the usual lunch fare options. If you have a food preference, let me know. Also a time. My day is open so whatever is convenient for you. Vanessa

Are you at Fort Leavenworth yet? Hope to see you next week if you're still in town. Classes here at FEMA are going well. Take care. Walter
