I have been doing genealogy and family research for about 6-7 years, and find it incredibly rewarding. When I started, I knew little about my family beyond my own grandparents, and a couple of G GP's. Through research, asking questions of family members, and help from many nice people in this community of genealogists and researchers, I've been able to piece together a family tree that now goes back as far as 9-10 generations in some cases. |
Some of the surnames I'm researching are: Mathis, Clark, Jensen, Fowler, Guthrie, Clemons, Phears, Ray, Ball, Bridges, Prestridge, Peacock, Joiner, Brisco, Glenn, and Smith of course!
I'm a newcomer to Find A Grave, but have found everyone to be very helpful and accomodating. If I can ever be of help for any reason, please contact me. Or, if your family are any of the surnames mentioned above, let's discuss. One thing I've learned is that we're all interconnected and related to many more people than we realize.

Hi, Will be happy to transfer Mr. & Mrs Mathis to your care, I'm not related, just trying to preserve our heritage.
|Robert Fowler||Short Note|
Although I can find no relationship to your grandmother Gladys Fowler Clark and my family, I thought I would tell you that I thoroughly enjoyed reading her bio.

Sorry I took me so long to transfer. I've been out of pocket for a couple of months. Glad to see you participating. Looking forward to getting all we have on here.
With all the best,

I have transferred your grandfather's name to you (and happy to do it). I am doing this as a hobby because I believe it is such a great service. I'm glad you found one that is your kin.

Dear Keith, Thanks for posting the photos, you must make a lot of trips to Lexington. Do you know anything about the emblems used on Confederate markers? Later, addiem

Thanks for getting this photo for me. I do appreciate it. This will help with my geneology research. I know there are others who will use this information, too. A+ later, addiem
