Bio and Links
Bio Photo I grew up in Waverly, Iowa & moved with my family down to Leavenworth, Kansas in 1993. I am a May 2008 graduate of Kansas State University and was actively involved with the marching band. I'm a huge fan of Kansas State football and hold season tickets.

One of my biggest interests is in Genealogy and I absolutely love History so its a perfect pairing. I'm fascinated with family histories.

Family names I'm interested in:
Bergman (in IA)
Brandt/Lampe (in IA)
Halweg/Friedrich (in IA)
Tjebkes (in IA)
Stelzer (in IA and MN)
Bohner (in IA and PA)

As for the photos I take for Find A Grave, if you would like me to transfer any memorials to you I would be more than happy to oblige as I am not interested in stacking up numbers for memorials managed. I think those that have that mindset are very rude people. The only memorials I will not transfer are those for my own family unless very distantly related.

Also, if you would like a copy of the original photos posted to memorials please let me know as I am more than happy to send them to you.

CREATED MEMORIALS NOTE:
I will sometimes photograph other plot markers near the graves where I am fulfilling photo requests. If they have no memorial I create one for them and attempt to give them a story based on what I find on ancestry.com.

If at any point you come across a memorial I've created for your ancestor and I have added information you DO NOT want on their memorial, please do not hesitate to let me know and I will gladly remove it. The same applies if there is something that you DO want added to their memorial.

If I have included an obituary on any memorial page and you would like a clipping from the actual newspaper please let me know and I will accomodate.

If I have added something you wish to be removed PLEASE BE NICE ABOUT IT when letting me know as I am not trying to upset anyone. I don't wish to be scolded like a child.

Ruth Day & family
Dear Shannon, thank you so very much for the photo. She was my aunt. Robert W. Day was her 2nd husband (still living), and she was his 2nd wife. Dorothy Day was Robert's 1st wife, called "Dottie". Thank you for creating more memorials. I don't know a lot of information on his family, but will try to find out to help. Ruth Eloise Day is the full name & she was known as Eloise. Thank you again for your kindness. Jenifer Jones

RE: Bodermann
Thank you for the offer to transfer. I don't need you to transfer them right now though.

They are family to a good friend from high school. I don't have any additional information to add for them. But if my friend decides that she would like to dig into her genealogy I will ask you. As of right now she isn't looking into it.

Hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving.

Bodermann
I just wanted to say "Hi".

I just linked a Bodermann memorial to some memorials that you have and was struck by your name. I initially did a double-take thinking I had created them since your name is so similar to mine. And then I read your profile page and it sounds like you share a very similar outlook with regards to this site as I do. So I wanted to say "Hello".

Hi Shannon,

Thanks for adding the pictures to my grandparents memorial. You think, being in Lansing, I would have done that already :-) I took some with my phone camera, but the light wasn't right on them. I appreciate your thoughtfulness!

Henry Summers Kline's Headstone photo
Many, many thanks for taking and uploading this photo Shannon. Henry was a brother of my great grandfather Thomas Kline. Thomas followed the gold rush to Australia in the 1850s and unfortunately never saw any of his family in the US again.
