I found out I had an interest in genealogy after my grandfather died and I inherited the family bible. It was full of names and dates; I had no clue who these people are or how I was related. Then when I started doing genealogy research I ran across Find A Grave and decided to stay for while.|
Transfers: If it's your relative or friend and not my direct line I'll transfer it! Just use the edit request on the memorial and include your Find a Grave member number with your request.
Changes: Suggest a correction, if you have more info, I'll add it. If I typed something wrong, I'll fix it. Please feel free to send as many as you find, I'm in it for accurate information if any of my entries needs edited or you want to add a biography, please write it up. It is best to not copy obituary notices from newspapers to an individual's memorial record unless you have permission from the newspaper to do so.
Photos: Please do not take photos posted by contributors on the site and republish them without either their written consent or a disclaimer on their bio page stating that the contributor is fine with that, please contact them about re-posting or republishing their photos. Some contributors don't care but others are quite adamant that photos not be used without their permission.
As to pictures I have taken of headstones feel free to use them.
Duplicates: It's never my intention to create a duplicate on purpose. If you come across a duplicate I have made, please use the edit tab and let me know. If you're rude, you will be ignored.

Norman, just wanted to let you know that you did an extraordinary job portraying all of your family's photos on their memorials. I've been at Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery taking photos of non-photographed memorials, I've added tokens/flowers to all or most of the Jackson family rather in Louisiana or Michigan or New York.

Hi! Almost no one fulfills photo requests at Forest Home Cemetery because the cemetery staff does not appreciate photographers and they will not supply them with burial plots.
But you can get the burial plot by calling the cemetery at 773-287-0772 or try e-mailing email@example.com if you cannot talk to someone.
Since there are over 150,000 burials at the cemetery, finding someone's grave without a plot (Section and Lot Number) is nearly impossible. Ace
