Bio and Links
Bio Photo Have been doing family research for about ten years along with my sister. Our family emigrated from Poland and Lithuania. It is unbelievable
the spelling mistakes in these surnames. We have added volunteer memorials to Find A Grave so if you should see a mistake in spelling or dates, please notify me I will be glad to make corrections. I would like to thank every one who has helped me along the way.

RE: Martha Hartzell
I believe that this Martha and John are my 3rd great-grandparents, but I'm having a hard time proving this theory, so I haven't actually put them in my family tree as of yet. I contacted you to see if you happened to have any additional information. Thanks for the quick reply though! Since you're son in law has the last name in his family, I suggest the West Finley Cemetery if his family is from around the Greene County and Washington County, Pennsylvania, area. There a lot of Hartzells buried there. Thanks again, Chelsea

Martha Hartzell
Hi. I recently noticed that you have left a flower on Martha Hartzell's memorial page in Slonaker Cemetery. I was wondering if you are a descendant of her and John's?

No problem. I'll probably have more updates as I'm working on a project dealing with the families of St. Columba's Church. I can get into more detail later.

You can use whatever you need. I was just at the orthopedic surgeon today. After 16 months he isn't happy with how things are going and is sending me for another MRI. He's hoping that I don't have to have a total knee replacement.

Kutschbach Headstone
Thank you very much for the photos of Elizabeth (Schneider) Kutschbach's headstone. Although there does not appear to be headstones for other Kutschbachs at St Martin's, I have found references where several Kutschbachs were buried there. Two of her daughters married Mahr and Wuenstel. It appears that the Wuenstel' were very involved at St Martins.

Through DNA, I am linked to Elizabeth through her husband, Fred(erick)August Kutschbach. I am trying to find a survivor of these families to see what they may know of the family roots in Germany.

Again, THANK YOU very much for your support.

PS I lived in Pittsburgh (Library) 1972-75. I wish I had known my links then as there appear to have been family there at that time.

Thanks for the great tip. I'm hoping to get out there, hopefully in the next week, so I'll be sure to do that. Thanks again for the directions...now maybe I won't wander around all day lost! Barbara

Saint Martin's Cemetery
Hi, I have a question. I noticed that you have added photos to Saint Martin's Cemetery in Allegheny County, PA. Could you tell me if this is located on Elkton Street in Pittsburgh. I am trying to find this cemetery and can't figure out where it is. Thanks for any help! Barbara B.

RE: Ferrence Family
Hi there,

Unfortunately, I don't have any photos of my grandfather's siblings. I wish I did. You did remind me of something - Theresa's obituary - and I posted it this evening.

Google has an online (free) newspaper search. I've already searched and searched, but then again sometimes you find nuggets on a second or third search that you didn't find initially.
