RESOLVED- Memorial Confusion at St. Benedict Cemetery in Iowa
The monument has been moved to the appropriate grave page (from a page mis-identified as Alexander Arndorfer to one properly identified as Alexander Erdman/Erdmann, with identical dates). Thank you.

Memorial Confusion at St. Benedict Cemetery in Iowa

Just a head's up--I'v ealready notified the people maintaining the affected pages, so they can move things around. A photo of yours, dated 2012, was put at a wrong page.

Photo was this one:

The photo shows a pink tombstone for Alexander (no name). It should be moved to the page for Alexander J. Erdman/Erdmann judging from its dates.

80920052 where photo should be (Erdman)
80867785 where photo is now (a false Arndorfer)

(1) THANKS. Thank you so much for photographing all those graves of these very large and intertwined German farming families, with a few Irish and French thrown in for good measure. My grandfather and other family are buried there.

(2) LOCAL COLOR. This is a quiet area now. It was exciting for the children at one time, with all the weddings and an annual church festival. And, of course, being full of Germans disagreeing with Prohibition, there was a bunch of bootlegging back in the Prohibition days!

I am wondering if Prudence was born in Nebraska? I think my Uncle, Guy Pearce may have raised her. He married Mable B. Geiser and Mable had 2 daughters: Betty and Prudence.

Does anyone have more information on her?

Thank you!

Fred Heins
Hello Robbie,

I tried to e-mail you Fred Heins and his wife's obit. It came back unable to deliver. If you would like to have them email me. I will be glad to forward the obits.
The headstone inscription was hard to capture on camera. If you enlarge the photo on Find A Grave by clicking on the photo you will be able to read it.

Hi Robbie,
FYI, I searched for supplementary info on the Kuklin and Weinstein babies but did not find anything to add beside the translations.
