Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am an Iowa 'farm girl'. I still live in Iowa, just not on the farm!

Upon "googling" my great grandmother's name, I found a photo of her headstone on Find a Grave. I was amazed, became hooked on this site, and have been contributing ever since.

My hope is to leave a legacy here for my children, grandchildren, and others by adding data and links.

I am not trying to amass large numbers of memorials. I just enjoy helping others, and I appreciate that others have helped me.

I create memorials with dignity and respect for those who have passed. I will remove a memorial if it is too sensitive for you, and I will remove photos you do not want on a memorial.

Forgive me for not yet having all burial locations identified. It takes time to research, some whereabouts are unknown, and some obituaries/mortuaries do not list burial or disposition details. Those people still deserve to be remembered here.

Unless it is for my relative, I do transfer memorials if you can and will add information.

Please let me know if I have an error so it can be corrected.

I try to make edit requests in a timely manner.

I appreciate knowing about added posts to my memorials such as photos or obituary clippings that would help me link family members.

I am happy to share photos with you to use in your family albums. Feel free to contact me.

I have taken gravestone photos of these entire cemeteries, although I may not have recent burials. Some stones are photographed, but are not readable, so may not be matched with a memorial. All have been posted for:
Paton Cemetery - Paton, Iowa
Dawson Cemetery near Paton, Iowa
Antioch - Clarksville, Iowa
Lynwood - Clarksville, Iowa
Old Town - Clarksville, Iowa
Pleasant Valley - Clarksville, Iowa
Butler Center - Butler County, Iowa
St. Mary's Catholic - Greene, Iowa
Memorial Park - Austinville, Iowa
Ackley Christian Reform - Ackley, Iowa
St. Patrick's - Parkersburg
Memorial - Austinville, Iowa
Ackley Reformed - Ackley, Iowa

I added many photos for McCallsburg Cemetery and Rose Hill Cemetery in Greene, Iowa. I will be adding more photos when possible.

My wonderful Jiffy has crossed the "Rainbow Bridge". I would love it if you stopped by her memorial. Thanks so much! 🐱

RE: Myrtle Stevens
can you get to the following link?

Myrtle Newell was first married to Homer Case Castle Jr and had 1 child (Merle) that I have found. She then married Truman Jay Stevens and had 1 child (Ernest). After Truman died, she married Ray Hanner and had 3 children 2 boys and a girl, Lawrence Gale and Thelma. Myrtle died in Buchanan County, Iowa.

Truman was my Mom's uncle but he died before Mom was born. I just started research about him. Hope I find out more. :)

This is how i fit in:

Joshua Edgerton son of
William Edgeton
William had a son named Charles. Charles is my great great grandfather. I would love to exchange information if we are related.

RE: Ernest Stevens *not Oliver :)
I was thinking that you could list Truman's son with the link to Ernest's memorial #95482552. This is the first my family has known of Truman having any children. I wasn't sure if that was possible or appropriate.
I did send an update to Ernest's memorial to link to Truman. :)
Thanks for your help!

Thanks so much for the marriage date info. How did you know this?"

Lillie is a great aunt of mine.

I've searched and searched the Fort Dodge Newspaper Archives for lots of HUDSON info. Interesting !!

Are you HUDSON related ?

RE: Ch Tazwell
Hi again,
There appears to be some confusion here. I was correct in my first message - Mary W Eden, 1828-1896, was never married to Charles Tazewell and therefore the link is incorrect. His 2nd wife was called Mary E Eden, 1846-1925, and they married in 1876. She re-married after Charles' death to James L Hunt, in 1889. I have now found her burial details on the findagrave website and she is recorded as Mary E Hunt, 1846-1925, Find A Grave Memorial# 92260449. She is buried with her sister Lavinia J Eden, who never married. I hope this is now clear and the correct link can be added.

Totally understand how busy you are right now. Your life takes precedence. We've been through the marriages many times and it takes a lot of time to get them ready. Good luck and God Bless the Wedding Couple.
