Thank you for the quick reply Cathy and I had thought the same thing with the huge age differences. Oddly enough, the hr manager where I work has the same last name as your maiden name. I found his great grandparents here in town and have memorials set up for them. If you would want to talk any further about possible connections, maybe send me an email rather than us talking about his here on the public forms like this.

Hi Cathy, I am working on cleaning up the burial records for Presbyterian Cemetery here in Lynchburg as well as trying to get good quality photos up for all of the grave markers. I came upon a Mary Catherine Johnson Organ who's grave marker shows her husband as having been a J H Organ. I saw where you have this gentleman being in your husband's family tree, but is buried elsewhere. His memorial says he was part of the 11th Virginia which was a unit out of Lynchburg as well as his shown as having passed away here. If you might know whether this lady Mary Catherine Johnson was in fact his wife, then that puts her in your husband's family tree. I would be happy to transfer the memorial over to yours or his care if you like.

Awesome to hear from you! I have been doing genealogy for many years and was frustrated by the brick wall caused by my grandfather's adoption. After 20 years of trying to learn his biological parents using leg work and paper research, we've decided to try DNA. Being that the adoption occurred more than 100 years ago even DNA has many challenges. I said all that to explain that I do have a tree on Ancestry "ADOPTION RESEARCH John C.Marshall" This tree is just pulled together to find the pieces of the puzzle. When the correct pieces are identified, then I will go back and thoroughly verify and source the facts.
So I have Peter on my tree as a possible biological grandfather to my grandfather but I need DNA to back it up. I do have DNA connections to his first wife's lines. How are you connected to Peter? Do you know if anyone related to him has done a DNA test?
Thanks again for the response.

I was wondering how are you related to Alonzo?
He was my grandchildren's 2nd cousin 5 times removed on their grandfather's side of the family.

If your husband is related to Peter Champion, we may be related. Would love to be in contact to see if our lines match up.

Thanks for the reply. I was HOPING that maybe you knew her actual dates. Will leave it as we both have it unless someone finds out something different. Ronald

I may have wrote you in the past, if so sorry to be bothering you again.
Question is? You have Sarah Campbell listed as born in Tennessee in 1804 under leave flowers and a note.
If you are related to the Campbell family, DO YOU KNOW HER ACTUAL BIRTH DATE?
I would like to get it listed correctly on your grave sight at the Pearson Point Cemetery that I'm trying to recover and restore. Ronald
