Bio and Links
I became interested in genealogy after my Father passed away. I felt a need to "find my roots". Find a Grave has been so helpful to me in my search. Obituaries hold a wealth of information, and often allow me to find a "link" to reconnect parents and families.

If you are related and I have a memorial for one of your loved ones, please contact me by clicking on the edit tab on the upper right hand corner of the memorial and then clicking the suggest a correction link to ask for a transfer. Connecting families, both past and present, is what it is all about!!

RE: Memorial transfer
Thank you so much for the transfer Jane, I really appreciate it. And thanks for letting me know about my error regarding the transfer of his wife's memorial. Have a nice day.

Lucy True (98746047)
I think I have the correct Lucy that fits into my tree but the birthdate I had was a couple of years earlier than on this headstone. Then I saw your note that her age was 41y 10m 19d. The math doesn't work for what's on the headstone. When I back it out of the death date the birth date is closer to the one I have.

Can you tell me if the noted age is from her death cert or what?

Anything else you may know would be appreciated.

Thanks! I realized after asking that you also took the photo for his wife's stone, so will use that one too. Please let me know if any problem with that.

Thanks again! :)

Hello! I was wondering if you would allow me to attach (with appropriate credit given) your headstone photo from this memorial to my tree on Ancestry?

Thanks for considering my request. :)

Thank you for adding this memorial. Geneva is my aunt who passed away before I was born. Did you find a copy of her death certificate or obituary? I would love to see them if you did.

Louella Hatfield-Likens
Thursann Hatfield Jennings
Hello,
My name is Louella Jane (Hatfield) Likens and Thursann was my aunt. My grandfather, Clyde C. Hatfield, was her brother. I remember going over to visit them in Muncie. We lived just a few minutes away on Mock Avenue and she had a bird with a top hat, a yellow bill and a red bottom that would bob up and down over a glass of water. I remember watching that for hours and listening to stories that she, Uncle Harrison, Grandma Mamie (Clyde's wife) and my father Robert Hatfield. She gave the best hugs! My father used to slip some money into Velma Dean's hand whenever we got ready to leave. He told me that he did that because that is what he remembered Grandpa Clyde doing. My Pop just recently passed away (31 July 2014) and I am researching our family history so that my children will have a better idea from whence they came. Have a great day!
