|Ruth Dowdy-McArthur||E C Dowdy Memorial|
I have written to you previously regarding updating the information on Memorial #18329774 for Elijah 'Lige' Carl Dowdy. There has been no response and the memorial is not yet updated.
His father is Armstead Lilly Dowdy and his mother Susan Henley Dowdy. They both died in Fayette County but I have not yet located the burial sites for them.
Please update the information on his memorial. If you would rather transfer the memorial to me, that would be fine. I can certainly add that information.
Thanks very much.
Dowdy Family Historian
Sir!! you have duplicated several memorials that I added in 2002 the CLUTTS in Mount Moriah in Fayette County. I know you knew they were there because you added headstone pictures. Please remove your memorial's that have been duplicated !
Here is what findagrave states about duplicates:
Because so many people add data to Find A Grave, there are often duplicate cemeteries and duplicate memorials added. This is a very common situation and is quite difficult to resolve in a way that keeps everyone happy. Before adding a memorial, you should search the cemetery to see if a record with that name has already been added. If you find a memorial has been added but has incomplete or incorrect information, instead of creating a duplicate memorial you should use the tools provided to submit corrections, additions or a transfer request via the "Suggest A Correction" link under the 'Edit' tab on the upper right of the memorial. If a case of duplicate memorials falls to the Administration, the Administration will have the final word on which memorial is deleted and which data will be retained in the remaining memorial page.

It looks like I have added a person you have already added. He's my great great great grandfather.
Since, you got there first I'll be happy to get rid of my memorial. However, if you can match the links to family members that would be helpful for researchers.

Here is the little bio I've written:
John Cabe Rhodes was born February 17, 1807 in North Carolina to Benjamin and Elizabeth (Cabe) Rhodes.

|L.J. Henley||Silas C. Irby|
Mr. Bland, a researcher in Fayette County has visited the gravesite of Olive Irby and confirmed beyond a shadow of a doubt that Silas's middle initial is "C" not "G". I'm am attempting to correct this error in the myriad of places it now appears. Would you mind changing your Find A Grave site? Thank you very much. Lana Henley, Tx
|L.J. Henley||Silas Irby|
Mr. Bland, I have been able to get a good photo of Olive Irby's grave from Kaye Duncan. You might check the Find A Grave site to see it. I currently have an email in to her asking about the middle initial of Silas. I'll be glad to forward it to you when she replies in order that you might make any corrections, should there be any, to this site. Thanks! Lana Henley, TX
|L.J. Henley||S. G. Irby|
Mr. Bland, I wrote yesterday regarding the gravesite of Olive G. Irby, Mount Moriah Cemetery, Fayette County, TN. I am trying desperately to locate the Confederate service of Silas G. Irby. QUESTION: are you sure the stone reads "S.G." or could it be "S.C."? Sorry to bug you! L. Henley, TX
|L.J. Henley||Mount Moriah Cemetery|
Mr. Bland, thank you so much for all the work you've done in this cemetery. I'm interested specifically in the Irby graves. Would you perhaps be kin to them? L. Henley
I don't know Mrs. Glover. I think that I simply found her obit online and thought you might be interested in adding it to her memorial. I'm going to transfer the ownership back to you.
Hope you have a good day!

Many thanks for adding information for Mt Moriah Cemetery in Whiteville Tn. I am related and would like to ask for you to transfer my uncle Herman's memorial to me if you do not mind. It will still give you the credit for the original. My transfer number is listed: #46612721
If by chance you do not wish to do this I will understand, but would request that you add the note that I left that has his obit listed.
Thanks in advance,
Brenda White Huntley
