Mary Magdaleen Miles Kirby
I've sent another change request now to change the spouse from Carey (her stepson) to Rufus. She was Rufus' second wife. Thanks again.

Rufus G Kirby
Sorry, I think I put the wrong number in for the spouse of Mary Magdalene Miles Kirby. Her spouse was Rufus G Kirby, not Carey. Carey was her stepson. Thanks for making the edits.

RE: J. Ferd Coward
Sorry about the confusion. Thank you for doing all of this!! I wasn't sure how to fix it - whether it could be changed completely. I know the stone just showed J. Ferd Coward. His actual name was James Ferdinand Coward, so would be the preferred official name. I know the stone was narrow. "Ferd" was his nickname. I have found Fred instead of Ferd on a few other things, but there was also a Fred Coward, so I thought it should be corrected to avoid confusion by others. Thank you again!

RE: Dalton Boswell preneed
I went to the Help Section and reread the guideline. I did not realize that it said that about being before 1931. I've read everything in the guidelines. I wonder if I didn't remember it correctly or if they've changed them. As you can see, I've been a member longer than you. I remember when I was surveying a very large cemetery and came across memorials with no date of death. I looked at the guidelines, and as a result, did not add those that would be under 100 years old. So I think they've changed them at some time. I want to apologize for bothering you now that I realize I was completely wrong. I should have simply contact the other person with the duplicate. Thanks for teaching an old dog a new trick. I hope you will accept my apology and that there are no hard feelings. Have a blessed day!

RE: Dalton F. Boswell
"Pre-need" memorials are against guidelines, we agree on that. So why does it make a difference that it's been transferred? There are plenty of memorials out there without a death date and a possibility that they're still alive. Imagine finding your own memorial on Find A Grave. Imagine one of your parents dying, and you find their memorial was created 2 years earlier. I don't know about you, but I wouldn't be happy. There should be a consequence to breaking guidelines. When I contact Find A Grave on these kinds of memorials, they usually merge and delete the pre-need. But thank you for taking care of the duplicate. Duplicates are a bigger problem on Find A Grave. Two memorials for the same person are created, then they get linked to the same parents, etc.
