Bio and Links
Bio Photo I recently read on another bio, "our ancestors can't tell us where they are buried, we have to find them." So true. I'm so thankful to all the volunteers that have registered the graves in their areas. My personal goal is to help register graves in my area that will hopefully help others locate the final resting places of their loved ones.

Please remember that while FindAGrave is a great tool to use in genealogy research, the clear mission of FindAGrave is to register the graves. If you are new to FindAGrave, please click on the "Help with FindAGrave" menu selection and read the FAQ before starting.

Yellow daffodils I've placed on a memorial usually signifies a connection to me in some way.

I'm happy to transfer memorials within the FindAGrave guidelines found in the FAQ (and I'm somewhat flexible on that). To request a transfer, click the "Edit" tab on the top right of the memorial and then "Suggest a Correction" tab to send me a note requesting the transfer, indicate HOW you are related, and don't forget to provide your Member ID. I'll consider all requests, but you might want to consider building a Virtual Cemetery (see FAQ).

I'm also more than happy to provide links where the final disposition is known or add additional information. Again, click the "Edit" tab and "suggest a correction" to send this information.

A word about photos I've placed on memorials. I'll gladly give you permission to use my photos if you ask me, indicate that I have granted you permission, and provide a link to their FindAGrave memorial. I have found several of my photos posted in family trees on the web without my permission and without a source to FindAGrave. This is a copyright violation and poor research sourcing. Again, please just do the right thing and ask if you'd like to use anything I have posted on any of the FindAGrave memorials.

To all the volunteers that walk through long forgotten, overgrown, tick and snake infested cemeteries, taking photos of all gravestones (even broken or half buried ones), and create memorials, thank you. Those gravestones may disappear or become completely unreadable in the future. For your efforts in registering the graves, thank you for all you do.

Happy hunting!

Wentworth Hays.

I would greatly appreciate it if you could associate it Wentworth Hays' father, Abiel Hays (1813-1893), with his findagrave memorial page. Abiel Hays' findagrave identifier is 40735622.

Thank you,

Craig Hays

RE: Headstone Pictures Of My Mama Lou's Headstone
I am so gfateful to you for the pictures and information on my family. I am not sure if Allen Latta is in that cemetery. His family may have wanted him somewhere else. His wife was my grandmother Lucrisha Latta (MamaLou) I had only been there once, a few years ago. I moved here and I then could not remember where it was. Now, I can go see my family anytime because of your hard work and love of people. I can't thank you enough. I hope you have a wonderful day and you are blessed in so many ways!

Forever grateful,

Thank you for the photo of my fathers grave. I do not live close and it is a way for me to visit, without the travel I am not able to do at this time. God Bless you!!

Headstone Pictures Of My Mama Lou's Headstone
I wanted to thank you for the picture of Lucrisha Francis Latta's headstone! Did you happen to get a picture of the ones around her, they are my younger brother, Tony Mitchell Hendrix, my Uncle Eddie Cecil Johnson and Grandpa Allen Latta. I think you are awesome for all the work you have done to help families find their loved ones final resting place! I can only hope to do as much as you have done for others.

God Bless You And Your Family,
Lisa (Barnes) (Johnson & Crook) Lampros

RE: Ridinger grave photos in Five Mile Cemetery
I don't know if you read my captions on the photos, but I plan to go back and retake these. I couldn't find an angle that day that brought out the letters (except the Ridinger name.) Hopefully, next time I go out there, the sun will cooperate. At least now I know where those stones are. Thank you. Pam

Kathy Park
request for photos
My name is Kathy Park and I have photo requests for the National Cemetery. Two friends of ours were buried there in the last year and I want to make memorials for them. Would you be able to take photos of each of their headstones and send them to me so I could add them to the memorials ?? If you are able to do this, I will send you the names. Thank you very much.

RE: Biddie Barker
Thanks Sherry. We all have those senior moments. Hopefully, findagrave would let us explain the mix up, but often things happen swiftly. Hopefully, a non judgmental computer is in charge of those request deletion and doesn't care what they say. Let's keep our fingers crossed. Chris

RE: Biddie Barker
Thank you for your response, I just hope findagrave doesn't get mad at me and delete me. One always worries about that. I have put so much time and effort into documenting graves stones. I do thank you for admitting there was an error and offering to let me use the photo you had previously taken. Keep up your good work. Chris
