|I have been adding some cemetery records/photos. If anyone requests management over a memorial or has corrections, please use the edit on the memorials. I have taken photos of several cemeteries and it makes granting your request so much easier if you USE THE EDIT TAB.|
The Edit tab is located on the top right on the memorial.
On some of the memorials, extra information has been added. Most of this information comes from FHL, Ancestry, Rootsweb, and sometimes FAG members. Mistakes can be made in spellings, tombstone readings,and in the transcription of documents on websites, etc. It is best to order or view the original records to verify all information. Never take anything as fact until it is verified with the original documents.
PLEASE USE THE EDIT TAB OR KEY!

Thank you for your information. Thought Effie may have remarried but never looked any further. She had her maiden name in the 1900 census with the three Sargent daughters. I know Golda,who married a Cussins, and Dorothea are both buried in Franklin Cemetery. So, now I know where her mother is buried. I am really on the Reuter side, but suddenly got very interested in Sylvia when I found an article in the Dec. 1, 1941 issue of the Belleville (Ill)News-Democrat which announced her death and stated that the services would be held in Nashville, and then the body sent to Springfield. This was a surprise as Sylvia and Fred have a very large, nice monument in Greenwood Cemetery in Nashville, Illinois. Now am on the hunt of the actual burial records. Am waiting to see if I get any help from the Nashville Cemetery. The Ill. State Death Records also say she was buried in Springfield, Sangamon,Illinois. Thanks again for your help. I do have the tendency to get off the main line, but it is so interesting. Kathyrn

I am not related to him. I just found, fixed, and posted the photo. And then I submitted a little bit of biographical information.

I am looking into his daughter Silvia Wright Sargent Reuter. I have the marriage of James W. Sargent and Effie E. Wright on June 9, 1881 in Morgan County. In the 1900 Census Effie E. is with her parents and three Sargent daughters. In the 1900 census James W. is with his mother and sister and listed as divorced. And on the death record for Sylvia, James W Sargent and Effie E Wright are listed as her parents. All in Morgon County.

Thank you so much for your reply to my suggestion of linking Richard T. Seaver with his parents. I did go back and look at the Jeremiah Seaver memorial #8188962 and this is the correct father for Richard. The Find A Grave member who put in the 'Note' in the bio section is in error...Jeremiah was 75 years, 11 months and 22 days at the time of his death. I respectfully request that Richard T. Seaver be connected with his family. Thank you so much for all of your invaluable time spent on the Find A Grave memorials and all of your great efforts in creating them..we are so fortunate for such dedicated and wonderful Find A Grave volunteers!

BTW, if you want to read a tear-jerker, go to Find A Grave Memorial# 64693514, for Peggy Sue Kemp. This is a relative of mine, and the story of her death broke my heart; I had not heard it before. Mary

I think you might be right about the nickname. If you look at the cemetery listing and at Jess(e)'s memorial, I think he may have had a sad life. He died in LA, a single man, only age 51. But, in the cemetery in IL is buried his wife, who died at age 28. His body was brought back to IL for burial, so I do not think he laid down many root in CA. Kid of a sad story, I think. Thank you again for your generosity. I am trying to "put together" my family, and it is so much easier when you can make the corrections yourself. Thanks again, Mary

Thank you, Patty! It is very kind of you. I have been discovering more and more of my family graves in Greene County, working my way out from Scott County, where the more recent generations of my father's family lived. Sorry for the duplication; I did not realize it at first, because I had his name as Jesse, and did not know his gravestone must have been a nickname.

Sorry, I forgot to say that the memorial I put up is # 143550773. Mary
|Mary Simonelli||Jess(e) Allen Kemp|
I inadvertantly added a memorial for my relative, Jess(e) Allen Kemp today, because a search did not yield any results, as I was looking for what I believe, based on several sources, to be his given name of Jesse, even though I now see that his grave says just Jess. My memorial has his family links and two pictures. Do you want me to upload the pictures and the family links to your memorial, or would you rather transfer Jesse to me?
