My "dead people" (approx 350) listed in my Virtual Cemeteries are family members, those who married into the family, and a small handful of their relatives; they are linked together as much as possible to facilitate family navigation. The other listings, most of which are not in my Virtual Cemeteries, are ones I thought may have been family, friends, veterans, or are just interesting.|
In addition to Hilts, my grand-parents' surnames include Blossum, Butler, Caskey, Conyers, Drake, FitzRandolf, Ganton, Gibbs, Gulick, Huffenus, Krizanitz, Lindsley, McWilliams, Merrylls, Smith, Trotter, Walker, Warner, Wood, and Wooden, to name a few, and Charlemagne is my 35th Great-Grandfather.
My wife Peggy and I live in Blairstown, NJ, 25 miles west of Ledgewood, parts of which are listed as "The Hilts District" in Morris County atlases from the latter part of the 19th century. There was a Hilts School in Ledgewood, and Netcong's Post Office is located on the corner of Main St. and Hilts Lane.
As an interesting side-light, two of my grand-children are direct descendants of Mayflower passengers William and Mary Brewster.
Thanks go to my third cousins Letha and Diane from whom I received a large portion of these data.
A deciphering guide to the "cousin" maze can be found here.
I invite relatives or anyone with comments or corrections to email me.

Hi Marvin, I was not sure if you email address is current.
My best friend's Grandmother is James Cochran's sister, Katherine.
You can contact me through email for more information.
I am very interested in any information you may have about Katherine's siblings.
Boonton Township, NJ
Thanks so much for the transfers, and my sincere apology for the multiple requests. I really should only do this in the morning when I have my wits about me, instead of late at night!

There was no headstone for Rebecca, so I took a general "area" photo. Was just reading your comments, and all those names mentioned are actually nearby. I even live on a street named after one family mentioned. Small world. Have a great day.

|Mary Jo C. Martin||Hello, cousin!|
Thanks for listing the memorials of Rev. John Drake and his wife, Rebecca Trotter. I enjoyed reading your biographies. I am descended from their son Benjamin and his wife, Mary Runyon.
|Shirley Wendt||Your entry of Johathan Kinnan|
Marvin, When I was researching my Kinnans, I came upon your entry of Johathan Kinnan. When I checked the picture of the headstone, it is definitely Jonathan. Thank you for all of the memorials you have posted. Shirley
