I was born, raised, and educated in the great state of Texas.|
I served in the U.S. Navy, worked for the Virginia Employment Commission in Portsmouth, Virginia, the Baltimore City Police Department in Maryland, and finally, The Methodist Hospital (now named Houston Methodist) in Houston. After 20 years at the hospital, I retired and moved back to my hometown.
Other than my own family members, I'm not related to any of those I enter on Find A Grave and I'm unable to provide any further information about my entries except what was in an obituary or what I've researched.
Please do not put Death Certificate photos on any of my memorials. I appreciate your research; however, the information on death certificates is not always accurate and, the COD doesn't need to be seen.
Please use the Edit tab which is at the top upper right side on each memorial, to correct names, dates, place of birth and/or death, add parents and/or spouses, and plot information.
To request transfers, send notification of dupes, or additional bio information, please, use the Suggest a Correction (SAC).
DO NOT use the public message (PM) for transfer requests as they will be ignored.
A big thanks to all who have visited and left flowers and notes for any of my entries, including my family members and my fur babies. Thanks also to those who've sponsored several of my entries. It is very much appreciated.

Great Job! Thanks for that. I added a pic, and have also added about 150 memorials to the Sound Side FWB church today; many are Brickhouse. Thanks again - Jackie

I do apologize, that is your Elizabeth, not Victoria, Brickhouse I am referring to and would like to have transferred; I just set up a memorial for Richard at the FWB. Jackie

I am photographing graves in the Columbia area, and have found big mix-ups when trying to add pics to find-a-grave. I'm trying to get it sorted out a bit, the issue is that there are two Baptist Churches, and at least four find-a-grave 'cemeteries' representing the two. Also, memorials from one listed are for the other, and etc. A mess! I would like to ask you to transfer some memorials from Soundside Missionary Baptist to Soundside FWB cemetery, if you don't mind. Just use the 'edit burial' button. If you will do that, I can add pictures to your memorials instead of adding a duplicate memorial. To start, Richard and Victoria Brickhouse need to be transferred as I have their pics from the FWB. I will be photographing the Missionary Baptist this week. (I hope!) Thanks so much, Jackie

|Edwin A Kuehn||RE: Shirley Ann Norris obit|
Thank you, Ruth. I have no information regarding a funeral home. I'll put this on the back burner. Something will show up someday.
|Jessieann ||Thank you|
Thank you for giving me an avenue to leave little messages for my Dad. Means so much, Jessieann
|Edwin A Kuehn||Shirley Ann Norris obit|
Ruth, I'm taking a long shot in asking if you would have any obits from the first week of April. A Shirley Ann (Van Winkle) Norris died April 1, 2016 and I can find the obit to see which cemetery she is buried in. I think the obit was in the Temple paper but I can get to it as I don't subscribe to the paper. Just thought I would ask if you would have any information.
|Glenda Manning Dennison||Good Job|
Hello, I am Glenda Manning Dennison, the local contact person for Smith Cemetery. I am also the secretary/treasurer for the Smith Cemetery Association. Thank you for the work you have put into Find A Grave. You have done a great job! My mom, Antha Manning, was a Smith so I am am a great-great grandaughter of the man (Walter Smith) whose brother donated the land for the cemetery. Anyway I thought I would tell you that our Association meets yearly. In fact, that meeting will take pace this Saturday, May 28th after the Purmela Homecoming. Anyway I just wanted to thank you.
