I grew up in Roscoe, Illinois. The daughter to Melvin and Joanne (Trimble) Miller.|
I became interested in genealogy about 15 years ago, when my mother and some of her cousins began researching their family from Southern Illinois. She grew up in Jasper Co.,Illinois.
With moms almost completed, we began to research the Miller/Olafsen side of the family with my dad about 8 years ago. I have since recruited my husband.
The family names we are researching are:
If you think we might be related, please stop by to say hello. I have had distant relatives whom I never met contact me through Find a grave. I have been able to fill in blank family information because of Find a grave.
Your tombstone stands among the rest;
neglected and alone.
The name and date are chiseled out
on polished, marbled stone.
It reaches out to all who care,
It is too late to mourn.
You did not know that I'd exist,
You died and I was born.
Yet each of us are cells of you
in flesh, in blood, in bone.
Our blood contracts and beats a pulse
entirely not our own.
Dear Ancestor, the place you filled
one hundred years ago -
Spreads out among the ones you left
who would have loved you so.
I wonder if you lived and loved,
I wonder if you knew
That someday I would find this spot,
and come to visit you.

I am staying at a friend's house while I await the close of escrow on my new house. Her house is just outside the perimeter of the Navy Seabee base in Port Hueneme, CA. They have very powerful transmitters and likely signal jammers as well, so all cell phone transmissions around there are choppy. I came over to finish cleaning the house I sold, so I was able to link Hans to his parents from my iPad here.
Thanks for your patience! Nancy

I am currently in an area that has poor Verizon cell phone coverage for my iPad. I am also disconnected from my desktop while I await escrow to close on my new house. When I get a chance to link them, I will.
Raymond Anderson was my dad's second cousin. He and I wrote to each other before he passed. He sent me that great photograph of himself with monte MONTANA and his horse at the top of the Empire State Building, as well as several others. Celena was my grandfather's sister.
Your photo is familiar. I think we have written to each other before.
Hannah Maria Campbells parents are also buried in Greenwood Cemetery if you want to link them

Hannah was born Feb 28, 1855 in Owen Twp., Winnebago Co. IL

I would like to request permission to copy your headstone picture and picture of William Trimble. My great grandmother was May Trimble Chester and I am reading through correspondence from my Aunt to Jessie Trimble and also Hal Trimble about family information that was exchanged between 1952 and 1971. This has allowed me to fill in more of the blands of Elisha Trimble's family. If you are interested in looking at my ancestry.com site for my Grandmother Julia Iolyn Chester Koch, I would be happy to allow you access. I made it private recently until after I could verify all of the new information that I am adding.
Of course, I would give credit to you for the pictures.
