Edward H Ward
I assume you are related to Edward H Ward Choctaw AL? I wanted to let you know that there is a photo of a "E Ward" as a Lt in the 40th Alabama Infantry for sale on Ebay. The photo is of Ward in his Confederate uniform. I ran across it while browsing images and checked Find A Grave to see if I could locate more info about him.

Here is a link to the auction http://www.ebay.com/itm/Lieutenant-40th-Alabama-POW-Army-of-Mobile-/291785053595?hash=item43efbe959b:g:2f0AAOSwnNBXVjiQ

It is a buy it now for a large sum but I thought you might be interested to see it. On the reverse is inscribed to "Miss Mollie Noble, Compliments E Ward."

I cant say for sure that it is your Edward H Ward, but the seller claims it is. I know Edward H Ward was a 2d Lt in the 40th AL, captured at Vicksburg and sent to Johnsons Island prison where he was held until 6/11, 1865 when he pledged the oath and was released. Described as dark Complexion Hair Black 5'10" Age 27 from Choctaw AL enlisted 1962.

The image is of a Confederate Lieut with dark hair who looks to be about the right age and the inscription above is penned on the reverse.

Please let me know you have received the message.

Sincerely,
Laura

A. A. Pruitt
44342677-A. A. Pruitt, I was told by Hamilton Co Tx relatives that this grave was Amanda Alice Pruitt, but after much research the dates just don't add up. ancestry.com had submitted an error. This grave actually belongs to Alvie Addison Pruitt, 7/27/1871 Texas, 8/8/1935 Texas parents-Trose Perry Pruitt, Mary Catherine Jones, wife Mary Jane Wilson., his reported death was in Coryell, Texas-sorry for the confusion

Your photos on their respective pages were a great help in locating the graves when I visited. I greatly appreciate your extensive work.

One headstone near James Percival in the front row in their plot is broken off at the base and seems missing. Would you know whose that was?

thanks

Holly Gilmore (#47459128) Please transfer the memorial for Robert Marion Miller to me, Holly B. Gilmore, as he was my great, great, great grandfather. He was the father of Marion Luther "Lute" Miller a rancher who died in 1901 at the age of 45 in Mason County, Texas at the hands of his brother-in-law because of an argument over land. Lute Miller was my maternal grandmother's grandfather. Her father was Robert Marion "Bob" Miller a Texas Ranger and lawman for many years. Thank you.

Lillie D. Burford
Daughter of Thomas Jefferson Myers and Jane Ann Futhey. Texas death Certificate #49379 lists her as Lilly Dell Buford, same as several census records. Family Search indexes her as Tilly Dell Buford on their death record. So a mixture for sure. I provided edit for adding her parents. Thank you for her Memorial.
