Bio and Links
Bio Photo Hi,
I have been doing gravestone photos for years and I contribute to a few different websites in Michigan. I have been into genealogy for the past 20 years, mostly just family, then I went into photographing our family headstones, as I was doing that,I was wondering if there was a need for such photos, I found this site, I LOVE it,(to bad it is so ADDICTING!) and I hope to continue doing it for years to come!
PS- Please do not get mad if the photos are mud or grass covered, I'll try to clean off or remove as much dirt and grass as I can to get a good photo. Since I live in Michigan, the weather plays an important part on when I can get out to do the photos. You can't stop nature or time.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE, If you are related to any memorial I add, PLEASE ask for it, I would rather see it maintained by family.
I am not related to 99% of the memorials I submit.

If you see that I added flowers to your loved ones, it is just something I like to do.

I DO NOT do recently deceased headstone photos, Please allow at least 6 months for the family to add a marker.

There are so many babies right now...it's been difficult getting through that part of the transcription I'm working on. Thanks for visiting them and my firemen, too.

Suzanne,
You're welcome!

As I mentioned before, if you have any other questions about the burials in Pleasant View, just drop me a note.

Thompson Children @ Pleasant View, MI
Hi Suzanne,
I am working on a large project of going through all the Pleasant View Cemetery records held by the Summerfield Twp Clerk to update the records in Find A Grave. I am adding pages when needed and requesting pages be removed when the people are not actually buried there. I am also looking up info and adding it to the others that are already there. Then, I am providing the data back to the Twp Clerk so they can update their records where they have missing or incorrect data. The Clerk provided me the records of the burials at Pleasant View and the 4 Thompson children are buried there in Sec: O.C., Lot #326, owned by Allen Thompson. In case you are interested, the following is the list of the 16 people in that plot:
Nancy (Thompson) Acebes
John Wesley Collum
Mathew Thomas Collum
Allen I. Thompson
Child Thompson
Clarence Everett Thompson
Earl O. Thompson
Grant Henry Thompson
Harry Thompson
Isaiah Allen Thompson
James Henry Thompson
Lawrence Thompson
Marcella Thompson
Mary Kathryn Thompson
Orville Thompson
Raymond Thompson
Just to let you know, I have not gotten to update all those records yet in Pleasant View. I did add the death certificates for 3 of your 4 Thompson children to their pages. The image is not available for James Henry. My guess is that the 4 probably don't have headstones. The majority of the burials with headstones already have Find A Grave pages. Most of the burials without stones don't have pages. That is the original reason why I started this project. I have a lot of family buried there and many of the old ones don't have stones.
In doing this, I have come across several burials that are either duplicates between the old Petersburg Village Cemetery and Pleasant View or they are listed in one when they should be in the other. Many times the death certificates and obituaries just say "Petersburg" for burial location. Since they are both in Petersburg, that makes it a little confusing and has lead to lots of mix-ups.
I hope this gives you the information you are looking for without too much extra babbling along the way. If you have any more questions, just let me know.

I am not sure I said, "Thank you" for you going out and taking her grave photo, so, "Thank you." I'm reaching the point I can't walk in cemeteries anymore so I couldn't get out there, myself. I really do appreciate it.

Best Wishes,
CarmasKid
