Do you know who is buried next to him that might be his wife?

I'll be sure to keep an eye open for your other pictures, especially Belle! Her ancestry goes back to a Dutch immigrant in 1600's New York.
Thank you again & then some!!

Thank-you for promptly updating the information for Jonathan Stoops. You are so kind. Mari
|mlcrusie||RE: Elias Chenoweth|
I am pasting the information from a Chenoweth outline provided to the local family in 1992. That way you can read for yourself the information that I was reviewing. I have been away from my research for several years, but since we did not take a bike trip this summer due to husband's health I have returned to our genealogy research again.
Elias Chenoweth was born in Ohio in 1832. He married 16 Sep 1856 in Jay Co., IN to Margaret Oler. She was born 23 Apr 1834. Elias was drafted into Co. C 23 Ind. Reg. Infantry on 22 Oct 1864 at Wabash, IN. He deserted 1 Jul 1865.
War record described Elias as five foot eleven, black hair, gray eyes, dark complexion. He was not
enumerated with Margaret and children in 1870. He is buried in the Ruple Cem. / Union Cem. in Jay Co. The stone only has Co. C 23rd Ind. Inf. - no date. Margaret married (2) 3 Jun 1875 in Jay Co. to Dr. William Freeman. He was born at New York in 1809. They lived in a fine home in Pennville, Jay Co. She died 2 Nov 1901 and is buried in the Hillside Cemetery in Pennville beside her daughter, R. Ellen Davis.
If you have anymore questions please feel free to ask and I will try to answer.

|Lara||Volney Curtis memorial 139797098|
Thank you so much for filling my photo request for Volney Curtis in the Greenville Cemetery! He was my husband's great grandfather. We were in Ohio several years ago & were able to find his grandparents. I had not done much work on his family tree at that time and did not know that he had more ancestors buried in Greenville then. You saved us a very long drive!
If you ever need photos taken in Western Massachusetts - don't hesitate to ask!
All my best - Lara
