I have been researching our family history for a little over two years and find it very satisfying as the memories found are "The Air Beneath My Wings" | |

 | Humphrey Holford In his 1876 death certificate it is stated that Humphrey Holford was a widower, so I am guessing that Mary Ann died before he did. Oscar Dent sold some property in Monroe County, Mich in January 1882 and moved with his family to Craighead County, Arkansas where their youngest child (Hazel) was born in 1896. About 1927, Oscar, his wife, and 2 children moved from Arkansas to Maumee, Lucas County, Ohio, leaving several older childen in Arkansas. The earliest city directory listing for the family (that I have found so far) is 1927 in Toledo, Ohio. One of their older children was my grandmother, Alma Christine Dent, who married Arthur Fenton in 1910 in Craighead County, Arkansas. Now that I have retired and can spend more time on genealogy, I hope to resolve a number of questions relating to Mary Ann Ostrander and her numerous relatives in southern Michigan. Thanks for your thoughts.

 | Humphrey Holford I am a descendant of Oscar Dent, the son of James Dent and Mary Ann Ostrander. I have never been able to locate the grave of Mary Ann Ostrander and wondered if you might know. Oscar Dent died in 1932 and is buried at Riverside Cemetery, Maumee, Lucas County, Ohio alongside his wife, Harriett Emma Garrison.
Thanks for your response,

 | Humphrey Holford (1823-1876) Do you know if Humphrey Holford's third wife was Mary Ann Ostrander who was previously married to James Warman Kitchell about 1836 and to James Dent about 1856?
Best wishes and thanks for your help,

 | James Holford Hi, Bob, I had occasion to call the clerk of Pleasant Plains today, and, in the course of things, asked about James Holford. She could only tell me he was buried in Site 8 Lot 40. The date of death or of burial wasn't given. Sorry. Judith | | | Michael
