Bring Sgt. Andrew Tahmooressi home.

The Columbian Cemetery
1151 N. Columbia Blvd.
Portland Oregon.
is thought to have about 5000 graves,
around 80% are now listed.

The Columbian Cemetery depends on,
Volunteers for all maintenance.
Organized events are a few times a year.

The Cemetery is in desperate need,
If you are able to get there removing sod,
From even one gravestone helps.

James Milton Steel
Good evening,
It has recently been discovered that there are actually TWO cemeteries in Richland County, Ohio, by the name PLEASANT GROVE. One is on Reed Road in Mifflin Township and the other on Coursen Road in Perry Township. The confusion has to do with the picture of the cemetery with the sign “Pleasant Grove Cemetery” which is on both pages even though that is only the sign for the Perry Township one.
I am asking that you please move James Milton Steel Find A Grave Memorial# 41976185[and any other memorials you have in Pleasant Grove, Reed Road, Mifflin Township] to his correct cemetery, Pleasant Grove, Coursen Road, Bangorville, Perry Township. Attached please find [I can email you this file] the list of burials in the Pleasant Grove Reed Road, Mifflin Township from the book “Richland County, Ohio Cemeteries. By: Richland County Chapter of the Ohio Genealogical Society © 1981”. As you can see James Milton Steel [and any others you have in the Mifflin Twp. Pleasant Grove] are not listed as buried there because they are in the OTHER Pleasant Grove cemetery. Please let me know when you have moved him and any other memorials out of the Mifflin Twp. Pleasant Grove and into the Perry township Pleasant Grove, Bangorville.
Thank you,
Aaron Turner

Hi Martha, I know you are a super busy woman but I have a question about the origin of the bio which lists her mother's name as Elizabeth Mary Tyree Morris. So far we have never known her middle name so would love to be able to authenticate this with the source. Thank you so much for your time. Looking forward to hearing from you. Vickie

My Grand Parents- Harry & Helen Boothby
Hi Martha! Found an error in the heading for my grandma Helen Nellie Fowler Boothby- had Flower instead of Fowler! Any way- Gramma was born 6/25/1880 in Ontario Canada to James & Sarah Fowler.

My grampa Harry Boothby was born 8/18/1863 in Harborne, Warwickshire England to Harry and Myra (Pickrell Shore) Boothby

and yes- Margaret Zelma Boothby is their daughter.
Thanks so much for posting them in the Find A Grave.
:) Barb

Database for Historic Columbian Cemetery
HCC volunteers are working on proofing the database for the Historic Columbian Cemetery. The information is based upon burial cards and will be proofed by re-checking cards and matching to plot maps. While further review is necessary, most grave locations can be located with ease at this point.

August Horn
Thanks for changing the information.
In 1880 August Horn is in Ill., La Salle Co. Grand Rapids Twp. with his aunt Louise Horn Rohlfing. He is age 3. Then in 1900 he is in Iowa, Webster Co., Newark Twp. with his 1st cousin Amelia (Rohlfing) Wicking/Weiking and it says Feb.? 1876 while the guardianship has the Nov. 1876 date in court records. Its him with Amelia, but the date may have been provided by someone other then him on that day. In 1900 Lyle is with her parents in Webster Co., Iowa also. In 1910 David Risk and his wife Mary born in ILLINOIS have moved to Bates Co., Missouri and living with them is August Horn son-in-law and Lyle (Risk) Horn as daughter with 2 children: Amelia-age 3 and David age 1 1/2. In 1920 August and Lyle are in Idaho, Lewis Co., and David Risk father-in-law is with them as a widow and the 2 children missing. So they appear to have lost 3 people. My thoughts on this is the Spanish Flu but can find nothing at find a grave on these 3 people as yet. Thanks for changing this as I had hope someone in the family might contact you about the site. This is a lost family from our tree. Henry Horn the father of August is
buried in Adair County, Iowa and he died Dec. 6, 1905. He is buried in the poor home cemetery there. Listed as a widow but have never been able to find the name of his wife as yet. Thanks so much! Wm & SJ. Donath #48116482
