I began genealogy research in 1986. It's been a fun, exciting, stimulating, challenging experience with many strange and wonderful adventures, along with numerous twists and turns. I have met many wonderful people in the search for my ancestors. I have family who came West to Oregon Country on the Oregon Trail in 1843, 1852, and 1853. Some later migrated West by train. Some of the family lines I'm researching are: Bloyd, Brooks, Byron, Cox, Cullen, Darneille, DeCosta, Dixon, Graham, Gray, Hedick, Hempstead, Hilts, Janes, Johns, Larimore, McGee, Mee, Pleasants, Poteet, Rynbergen, Smith, Stafford, Willis & Young.|
NOTE: If you contact me by personal message on this page about any of my memorials, pls mention the person's name, memorial number, and cemetery. Otherwise, don't be surprised if I don't respond. Likewise, if you contact me via email (preferred), pls give me the same data. In all cases, editing suggestions should be transmitted via Findagrave's usual procedure. Thank you.

Thank you for the work done on this site. I am a descendant of Elizabeth Ross married Thomas Williams. I am trying to locate the family bible which lists the names of the children. Can you give me any information on where I could find it? Thank you.
Hi - I posted a photo of Omega Corbett's tombstone that I took today. I also have a photo of her husband John's tombstone. If you'd like to create a memorial for him, I'd be happy to upload the picture. The dates on his tombstone are 1868-1936. Best regards, Gregory

No, the deletion has to be done by the owner of the page. Not to worry, it wasn't on there for very long as I knew it was written in haste and you deserved an explanation in any case. But you did make valid points. I was just thinking now how it would be so nice to have a "delete" button in real life for my mouth some times.... Ha ha. Take care, Jan

Mine is the correct memorial. The other one was created 5 years BEFORE death in violation of Find a Grave's procedures. No death date also means it doesn't show up on a search and that's another reason they were prohibited. I have sent a request for removal of the "memorial" for a living person to an administrator. Thank you for your interest. Jan

His death certificate is available now on Ancestry. It states he was born in New Bern, NC
|Tim Puckett||Stephen Covington Puckett|
Do you know where "Covington" name comes from? I have seen Nancy Butler Wood's mother as Ann Covington.

I just wish it had come out better. It was overcast and the headstone was badly water stained etc. Those copper headstones don't always come out the best after a few years in the weather.
