Bio and Links
Bio Photo My contributions to this website had been limited to leaving a legacy for family members, so most of my efforts had been dedicated to writing brief biographies for those that I have known or researched. My hope was that those who read these biographies would appreciate the lives of ordinary people as well as those who became famous or infamous. Among my more famous relatives are Mayflower passengers in 1620, Richard Warren (through my paternal grandmother's lineage) and William White (through my maternal grandmother's lineage) and filles du roi Marie (Sel) Guillemet and Anne (Perrault) Blais who pioneered Quebec (through my maternal grandfather's lineage). My maternal grandmother was also descended from Joseph Stone, a son of William and Elvira (Davis) Stone, of Dana, Massachusetts, in the valley now covered by the Quabbin Reservoir.

Curiosity has led me to document a few others not directly related to me or my family.

Gosh, I wouldn't remember if I noticed whether his wife's stone is there, but I can certainly look for it the next time I'm over there!

Gibbons, Granville, MA
I have a cemetery photograph that indicates the location of the Gibbons marker. I have added it to their memorial page FYI

I save no records from my travels and can not verify. I can only say I was directed there by the library and perhaps was given an incorrect cemetery name. If that is the case, there are several incorrect ones. I have deleted my entry in order to save confusion. Thank you for the information.

B. Gibbons Granville, MA
I appreciate your concern and your alert to the duplicate entry. However, I personally searched the Silver Street cem. for this memorial and did not find it. Then I searched and found it in what is known as the Main Road Cem. a few miles away. You'll notice I have posted cemetery views of both cemteries. I actually took a photo of the Main Road cemetery, from the road, with B. Gibbons just on the other side of the stone wall.
So, despite his beautiful photo, he unfortunately has the location wrong. Perhaps he visited several Granville cemeteries on the same day and got confused as to which markers were in which cemetery. Yes, I advised "David" at the time ...
(I also verified info. on the location of B. G. with local historical society cem records.)

George Sidney Bliss FAG 52095632
I just found some info on the internet regarding this person. It shows his middle name as Sidney, DOB 25 Nov 1881 in Oakland Calif; DOD 24 Mar 1954 in Tucumcari, New Mexico. Father Sidney Bliss and mother Julia Pratt.

I cannot confirm the information as true and correct, but thought the information could be a starting point for your research.
