Have been doing genealogy since 1992. Retired about 5 years ago, so have a lot more time to devote to this. It's so rewarding to do genealogy and help out with photos. |
I so appreciate those who have filled my photo requests, thank you so much!

Donna, I have checked and the info I come across say nothing about a second marriage but that could change. Ida would have been married a short time to him as he died abt.1909 and his wife died around 1902. They could very easy have 'ran off' and married else where, such as Michigan etc.I have checked under all names that you gave and I sorry but I don't find anything so far. Good hunting...Peace...Lawrence

It was very cold today and windy, when I got to the cemetery it was 11 degrees :), so needless to say I did not spend alot of time there but the block they say she is buried in has many unmarked graves, out of the whole block there might be 3 or 4 stones. I will take more time and try to get you a photo of exactly where they say she is buried eventhough it is unmarked. She is buried in the old section of the cemetery and sadly there are alot of unmarked graves.

I have been to this cemetery about 5 years ago, it was Autumn time of year. There are fallen trees and no fence surrounds the old cemetery. thick blanket of leaves on the ground, and I could find very few stones. Cattle are tromping through the place. It is just a mess! I live in Kansas City about 2 hours north, and I have written the property owners The Siercks for permission to clean it up. They ignored my letter and never got back to me...It sits up on a hill, and there are many field stones as markers. Many of My family members on my fathers side are buried there. This coming spring, before the trees leaf out etc, I am going to "sneak" up there rake in hand, maybe a gallon of distilled water and a soft brush, and of course my camera, and see how much progress I can make. keep my personal email address firstname.lastname@example.org remind me about the middle of May, and I will give you a progress report.

Oh, you're so very welcome!

You are very welcome! I went ahead and took a picture of the headstone for Clifford Elliott (Iva Elliott's son) and added it to his Find A Grave memorial. His grave site was right by your great aunt's. Take care.
