If you have ancestor buried at the Historic John Hunter Cemetery in Mt. Pleasant Tenn. Maury Co.|
there is a Facebook site Save Historic Hunter Cemetery Mt. Pleasant Tennessee and join the conversations about the condition of the ts and the damage in the cemetery.
Born and raised in Lewis and Maury County, Tennessee. Member of the National Society of Children of the American Revolutionary War.
Maury Co., Tn has many historical cemeteries. Many Rev. War soldiers are buried in Maury Co./Lewis Co. Tn., also many Civil War Generals, War of 1812, and their soldiers.
Cemetery preservation is very important to me and I try to list from actual cemetery visits and various book listings. I have been working with Wayne Austin for the last 10 years as a volunteer contributor for his project.
Please, e-mail me with any corrections or additional information that needs to be posted at any Maury County Cemetery where you see my name via the edit option on the memorial.
If I have posted a close relative of yours let me know and I will transfer. Please use the edit option on the memorial for updates, corrections and questions, my responce will be much faster, I don't have to look up the memorial by name that way.

|PSS||Edits at Arlington Cemetery, Mt. Pleasant|
Thank you for responding to edits I recently submitted for interments at Arlington Cemetery and my apology for submitting so many in a short period. I was there searching for the grave site of Morton Daniel Collins (my g. grandfather's brother). Though I failed to locate him I did find many familiar surnames. While it may take a while to discover whether there is a connection to my family maybe the additional information will assist others finding family.
Many thanks for all your contributions.

If I didn't thank you for my grandfather's mother's memorial, I thank you now.
|Gloria Tune||Alexander & Phoebe Bailey Beckum|
Just noticed on both of your memorials, it states both are thought to have died in Texas. I'm curious where you got that notion, as I'd love to explore the idea. The last record I have of them is in Lewis County. They were my 3rd g. grandparents.

James Algernon English is buried at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens in Orlando, FL, next to his wife, Anne Frances Lane English. James A. English, Sr., his father, is buried at Arlington Cemetery in Mt. Pleasant, TENN. Also his grandfather is buried at Arlington Cemetery.
|Tammy Trocki||Ambrose Hadley|
I was very moved at finding my great-great grandfather's resting place. You listed him as Ambrose Haley, the only grave in the Haley Cemetery near Santa Fe, TN. I believe his name is Ambrose Hadley, rather than Haley, and that the cemetery was listed as Hadley in "They Passed This Way".
Thank you for posting this memorial. I've been looking for his grave for a while!!
