I've designated myself as the family genealogist and I joined FindAGrave.com after visiting my grandmother's grave in Covington, LA. Because I have access to Ancestry.com, I try to get information from there to add to the pages I create. |
If possible, I let other people on this website know of any additions or corrections I find to the profiles that they create. I hope I do not offend anyone, I'm just trying to get the correct and up-to-date info available for those looking for their loved ones (you know ... the ones we work for).
Unfortunately, I don't have as much free time as I would like to go around to the cemeteries around here; I am more than happy to avoid cemeteries others want to "claim" as theirs - there's more than enough to go around.
Any pictures and information I upload can be used by anyone on their own genealogy pages. Email me if you find any corrections on my stuff. I try to get the right information but occasionally there are people of the same names at the same place during similar times.
If I add a memorial page and you're a relative and want to manage that page, let me know, I will be happy to transfer the management to you.

Ron, You have a duplication of memorials for Henrietta Booker Bellaphant. 1319783334 is the correct one, the two sisters share a headstone and when you photo Pinecrest you created 133390422 from headstone. I think when you will look at the two memorials you will see what I am talking about. Thanks, Joyce Norris
please transfer Calvin Anderson to me. He is a relative "126264815. Thank you

Thank you for your work. I got the information for Emma, Sandy, Harry M. and Annie Mae O. Akin off the original cemetery records from the grounds keeper when I was indexing the cemetery. At one time these grave must have a temporary marker. (Metal) Sorry for the confusion, I guess I added and s when I typed it in. There are four unmarked graves in plot 15 at the end of row 11, graves 66 (Sandy), 65 (Emma), 64 (Harry), and 63 (Annie Mae O. Akin). Sandy's grave lines up with Geneva Reynolds on row 10. This is the near the corner where the road that divides plot 15 from plot 19. There is not a road that divides plot 15 and plot 16. The last row of 15 is row 13. Harry's grave lines up with Izora Walker's grave in row 15. I do not know the connection between Annie Mary O. Akin. She may have been Harry's wife or not. I copied the information from your records to my record and gave you credit, so you may delete yours. It's great working with you on Rosemount. Between the two of us, we are getting the work done. Thank you!

Easy to do, but the photo of the gravestone you added relating to Emma McFall is, by mistake,in the findagrave record for her daughter Emma Porter Armstrong.

Thank you for contacting me. I'm sorry you went to all that trouble researching her; I know how long that takes. I have added extra info to her memorial. Thank you again!

Thank you for transferring her memorial to me. She was my first cousin but we had lost contact many years ago. Thank you for adding her memorial.
