Hello fellow find-a-gravers,|
To request transfer, please do not post your request here in the comments section. I ask that all transfer requests be made through the official "suggest a correction" mechanism. Just go to the memorial, click "edit", then click the last option which lets you send a free form request. That sends me a link to the memorial, which helps ensure I process the correct one, and also sends me your member number so I don't have to go look it up. This saves me two or three steps, and helps me be accurate.
Excluding my own kin and special memorials, all of my memorials are up for grabs. If you are kin, you should have them imo. If no kin comes forward, then anyone who has a connection. Maybe you live next to the cemetery? Maybe you went to school with him/her? Maybe I have one of your old co-workers. You get it :) Just ask!
If you are also adopting out your memorials, I would happily adopt any of my main family surnames in the United States: Claussen, Crawford, Fox, Pennington, Petersen.
Thanks, and may God bless you immensely today!
This is the day the Lord hath made. I will rejoice and be glad in it! (and not spend the whole day working on findagrave! LOL )

your memorial 22556938 is a duplicate of my early memroial 19201796. It would be nice to combine both as you have the birth dates. Can you help or would you help do this. Or I will delete mine with its Bio and add to yours. thanks for any help. Mike in Missouri

I do remember taking pictures in this cemetery and I probably didn't get all headstones as some of them were unmarked rocks or hard to read.

Thanks. I've moved him.

Thanks for transferring John and Mary Ann's memorials to me.
Now that you're asking about the other 4 Douglass memorials you manage in Bethel Cemetery, I took a look at them. 3 of the 4 are related to me, so yes for them. They are Molley, Mary, and Infant Douglass d 1881.
The other infant (b & d 1908) is related to Anita's family as she told me the Douglass couple she is related to in Bethel Cemetery and they have the initials on that infant's marker! (I'll mention this to her as I need to leave her a message about something else. I suspect she's unaware of the connection.)
I will post an "other correction" edit for the 3 I'll take to make it easy for you to transfer them.
Thanks for asking. Except for Molley, I probably wouldn't have looked again at the Douglass' in Bethel. I'm now pushing to research the 2 generations of Douglass' further back that I discovered in that online book!

Hello Again Deb,
I just found a biography in an old book online that verifies the John Douglass I sent you edits for in Bethel Cemetery is my GGGrandmother's older brother. Most significantly for me, the bio tells about their father who has been the big mystery.
So . . . I would like to take you up on your offer to transfer them to me. They are #19217987 (John Douglass) and #19217991 (Mary Ann Brown Douglass).
I'm really surprised (and of course happy) to have found this after doing all that work on his family (8 kids) over the last 2 days. I still need to find where the father is buried (he died in Clinton County, Ohio), but at least now I know it's true the family lived in both Clinton County, Ohio and Clinton County, Missouri---was never quite sure if there was confusion about the Ohio County name.
Thanks so much for having created John and Mary Ann's memorials in 2007. I think they have been waiting long enough for family to find them with your help.

Hi - you had questions about many of the Bosserman's in Harris Creek. You had the same person in Old Harris Creek Cemetery. Recently, I added hundreds of photos to Harris Creek - the photos I added were to memorials already created by someone else. I also have been to Old Harris Creek, which is across the street. I think the person who created the memorials used a cemetery listing, and did not actually go to the cemetery, so I think duplicates could have been made. The Bossermans in Old Harris Creek are correct and the photos match the ones I saw there. I don't believe there are other stones in Harris Creek - I would have photographed a different headstone. Hope that helps- and maybe send a note to the person who created the duplicates in Harris Creek. She may have another explanation.

We will finish the leave raking and limb picking up. Hope you can join us 9-12. I will buy pizza afterwards. Thanks Lisa McCole 816-807-0694
|Vicki Edwards||FYI: Edits for Douglass' in Bethel Cemetery|
I'm working on Douglass's now. Just sent you edits for a husband-wife buried in Bethel Cemetery. It's now clear yet if they are linked to my GGGrandmother Mary Ann Douglass (who married Asa Sloan), but I've learned a bit about the family in my research! My info is from History of Clinton & Caldwell Counties pub'd 1923. May be more to come. (You may recall you transferred the Sloan's and Yoho's in Sloan Cemetery, Caldwell County to me over the past few years.)
Happy Thanksgiving to come.
