Bio Photo If you're contacting me regarding memorials I've added for Noble County, OH, please note that I have no personal ties to this area. I have photographed stones locally as a courtesy to help you find/locate your ancestors and family and represent the individuals in interim. If you are a relative of memorials I've added in Noble Co. and would like to take over maintenance, feel free to contact me and I'll gladly transfer memorial ownership to you whether within the official guidelines or not. Please remember to include your member ID in the request. :)

I will not transfer memorials of our direct ancestors.

Happy hunting!

Boatbuilder
112th Infantry Regiment
I just received a first edition of the book "With the 112th in France". There are two inscriptions inside the front cover as follows:

"Presented to Harry and Jennie Hosil by E. D. Felt and Family, Dec. 25th 1919"

"From Chas. Felt's collection. Given to me by Charles"

Seeing the Felt/Hodil gravestone and the names associated I feel that Harry or one of their sons may have been in the 112th. I am not interested in a detailed genealogy but would be interested in knowing what family member was with the 112th. Based on the inscriptions this book was personally important to the family and I would like to know a bit more so I can place a page in the book with that I formation for the next owner.

Thank you.

Woodrow W Myers
Hi, my father served in WWII with Woodrow W Myers. Is he a direct descendant of yours? I've made a website to honor the guys and to tell the story of the unit. I'm always on the hunt for more photos and stories of their time in the service. The website is: 284thcombatengineers.com and Woodrow was in B Company. I have over a hundred photos of B Company posted in their gallery and probably 600 photos total across the battalion (H&S, A, B and C Companies). My email address is posted in the contact section, drop me an email if Woodrow is in your line.

Thanks!
Mikel

Thank you for the transfer of the Guiler family members. I will start finishing the missing information on their sites. I am also related to the Barnes, Danford, and Summers families if you have any that you would like to transfer. Thank you, Judy Goodrich and my ID# is 47852156.

Ellwood Families
Pamela:
I would love to know how you have connected the various Ellwoods for whom you have memorials.

I'm getting back into more serious research and have been finding a good bit regarding names, date, etc. which you have place on find a grave for which I am very grateful as it reaffirms much of what I have found in the last few days.

My connection is through Virgil Ellwood, son of Franklin & Amanda (Kughler). Virgil married my 1st Cousin Emma Schenk who I was fortunate enough to meet in the late 1980s when I first began my family research.

Anyway, I do appreciate what you have done as I also like to use find a grave to memorialize people, some of whom are virtually forgotten. If you would like, you could contact me directly at thomas.schenk1950@gmail.com.

Thanks.

transfer of memorials
First I would like to thank you for all the hard work you have done on Find A Grave. You indicated you would like to transfer the memorials you currently have. I would be willing to accept my family memorials. I am not sure how you would like to handle this as I am related to many people in Noble County. My main family is the Guiler family but I am also related to others. My name is Judy Goodrich and my ID# is 47852156. Please let me know what is the busy method of transfer for you. I can ask for a memorial one at a time each day or by the week or whatever. My e-mail address is jggen@sprynet.com if you would prefer to communicate that way. Judy

Family Memorials
This is just a thank you for all the memorials you have created on Find A Grave. We are also related to the Clarks in Pennsylvania and your memorials have helped us in our research.

If not for people like you, researching family members would be much more difficult.

Thanks for a job well done!

Cheryl
