Bio and Links
Bio Photo I was born at Faulkton and raised in the village of Wecota, both in Faulk County, SD. I have lived in Minneapolis, MN for some time. My parents are now living in Faulkton and when I visit them I check for requests in that area.

I am particularly pleased to have added to this database two small abandoned territorial-era cemeteries there; the Myron Congregational and Sod Church (a/k/a Myron Baptist) cemeteries.

The Millard cemetery is another one that dates from Faulk Co. pioneer days that I have surveyed and added, with my research buddy Dennise Harmon.

Anyone has permission to copy my photographs only for non-commercial purposes, with attribution, in a manner and context that is not offensive. This permission includes adding my photos to other record entries or locations. But please ask first.
Especially if you are a relative I do not yet know!

One of my pet peeves is when I provide updates and the creator of the Find A Grave memorial turns over the management to me without adding the info or me asking to manage it. I am finally realizing I need to save the info I send- most times in the past I have not.

To get anything added to a page, please use the EDIT tab on the upper right corner and then the top line that says "suggest . ." Also use this method to contact me regarding incorrect information, adding additional information, linking married couples and their children etc. The linking tool is built into the edit tab now, so please use it.

I'm a photo rescuer; I often find old photos- and the occasional Bible- at thrift stores for a dollar or two with information written on the back of them. I try to find a family researcher to give the photo to and I will look for their Findagrave site to add the picture there.

RE: Thanks Kent
Many loving hours of repair from my new owner enables me to cruise on the highway at 70 mph and participate at car shows. I will be for sale on eBay the last week of September 2016; just search for 1955 Buick Roadmaster Wizard-of-OZ Sedan. Please pass along this information to the folks you know in South Dakota that remember my first owner, Matilda Gage of Aberdeen SD.

RE: Ira Lepper
Thanks Kent ~ I will send her a photo right now. We have seen this a lot at is caused by ice that gets between unsealed stones combined with the hilly conditions. I'd hate to see it damaged by falling, & it will fall face down if it does. My email may go to her spam because of my address, so if you have contact let her know it will come from
Good luck! Sheri

Hi Kent ~ I'm a photo volunteer working on Floyd Cemetery in Sioux City, and wanted to reach out to you since you appear related to Ira. I'm photographing the area around Ira's stone, and the stone has moved significantly since the photo on the memorial was taken, most likely from ice over the winter. I fear it will fall if not tended soon, and by cemetery guidelines repair falls to family responsibility. Thought you may know other descendants that would want to know, otherwise. I can email you a current photo if you wish.

Hi Kent!
Oh, I am glad it helped someone!
I actually have it hanging in my house now. Michael's daughter Antoinette Bakey had it in her home on the farm in Barnum. After her daughter Flossy, died, also on the farm, my Aunt had it and just gave it to me when I started all this genealogy research.

I have a higher res scan if you would like one.
I took the frame apart, photographed it, and reframed with museum glass and archival backing boards to protect the image from any further decay-although it is in good shape.
Thanks, Barb
