"De mortuis nil nisi bonum"--Chilon of Sparta|
Although I live in Oklahoma, many of the memorials I have created and tombstone photos I have added are for the counties of Clay, Dickinson, Riley and Geary in Kansas. Please visit my homepage for Clay County genealogy--it contains links to the other counties mentioned, too.
I am happy to add information to memorials, and will transfer to relatives. Please use the "Edit" button at the top right of the memorial to request transfers or to add information. If requesting a transfer, please note how this person is related to you--not because of any FAG policy, just because I'm nosy!
I want to give a special shout out to Emily for the many obituaries she has submitted for Fairlawn Cemetery in OKC. She doesn't want credit, so I won't give her last name, but I know that I and especially the families of those whose obits she sent appreciate it!
As winter brings a longer night,
And women read by candlelight,
They come to know, like sun, like rain,
Nothing lasts, not love nor pain.
O Time! O Time! O thieving Time!
Give me back my stolen years.

Hello - you entered the two Martinsons in the cemetery and the husband has quite an obit. So, I want to ask a far fetched question: do you know the brothers of the husband because someone has found dog tags from Vietnam for a L. F.Martinson, Lutheran, USMC. Facebook - go to Kim Hawk and see her photo of tag.

I've made suggested edits to everyone of the Herren females that I could find. So I'll have to wait and see if the edits are accepted.
If you would like to transfer Charles and Cora to me that would be okay, but I am not really closely related to them. I am just trying to link people together based on the obit that I have for Emma Burt.
So whatever you'd like to do would be fine with me. I appreciate the offer.
Thanks for your help.

Sheryl, I am sorry about the mix up I have deleted the one note I left explaining about the two husbands. I did not check like I should have as I was more intent on adding to Ruth's memorial and did not know it would mess anything up. Brada Ruth Kinney was the daughter of my grandfather's sister. Thanks, Margaret

Thank you so much for the transfers! It's nice meeting another family member who has done so much on the family tree! Keep up the good work!

Thank you for all of your help. I am a descendant of William & Jane Vian. Rebecca Disler Ehl is my ggg-grandmother. Most of my descendants are from DeKalb & Allen counties in Indiana.

I don't know, but I'll see what I can dig up. Would you like me to add that info to her memorial? Thanks.

Thanks for the transfer. I got the marriages in the right order, but am leaving the name Langvardt. It is explained in the bio, and her tombstone says Langvardt which was her name at death.

They are so hard to read, especially when in the midst of the iris, peonies and weeds, or buried. They had mowed today which helped.
Do you know why your photo for Asaph Frizzle (taken at Pleasant Valley) is now in Marshall County? I have a dupe but will leave it until we "get him back"! He and his wife Rebecca are at the front to the south of the drive.
I'm trying to link the families together and then will transfer most of them to Kevin Stilley who lives nearby and knows the names.
Thanks for your help as always.

I have deleted the duplicate records. Thanks for the information. If I can do anything else, let me know.

Thanks so much for transferring these to me. I was going through some things and found the memorial record for Priscilla's mother, Catherine Vian Huffman born in Amity, Ohio in the 1840s. So her parents would have been John Vian and Catherine Downs. If I run across any info connecting William Downs and Catherine Downs I will let you know.
And, yes, the whole business is head-spinning confusing:)
