Findagrave has a wonderful feature that allows memorial holders to update many requests at a time, but only if done via the Edit tab --- so please try that before leaving information on the profile page! This feature is a true blessing.|
***** REQUESTS FOR CORRECTIONS *****
UPDATE REQUESTS RECEIVED BY EMAIL:
Please keep your requests via the "other" information option to a minimum, as the workload has become unsustainable.
Over zealous senders may find theirs deleted. Hope they switch to messages via flowers. Thank you.
REQUESTS TO ADD OBITUARIES:
Obits under copyright should be summarized and will not be posted, so please do not send them. In most cases, there is a 72-year or longer time period.
If you wish to download one of my tombstone pictures, you may do so for personal usage and should give proper credit. Under no circumstances should they be added to other sites (such as Ancestry) as if they are your own.
Photographs of individuals require PERMISSION, and if lifted from here without appropriate permission or credit are subject to licensing fees.
REQUESTS FOR TRANSFERS
Please follow Findagrave guidelines to be within a few generations and a direct descendant. For older ones, please communicate the reason.
As the number of memorials I manage increases, I sometimes elect to transfer without being asked. If you received a transfer and do not wish to manage it, please transfer back.

|GloriaBee||Benjamin Brown's wife|
Please check the document (link provided), written by a granddaughter in 1891. It includes different information about Benjamin's wife--Susannah Wells, daughter of Francis Wells, who was a brother of Elizabeth Wells, Samuel Adams' second wife. That Elizabeth died in 1808 (the same year as Benjamin's wife died per the memorial); her entire will is included in one of the Samuel Adams books.
Link to the Brown Memorial document:
Benjamin's and Susannah's marriage info can be found in Ancestry's Massachusetts, Town and Vital Records, 1620-1988. The marriage date is the same as that included in the Brown Memorial document:
21 Dec 1780
Francis Wells' father, also named Francis, married Susannah Allen Welch (his second wife.) Coincidentally, the marriage date for Benjamin and Betsy listed in the memorial is the same month and year as the record on Ancestry for Benjamin and Susannah. It appears that the info about Benjamin's wife may be "blended" from two different women.
But, I could be wrong!

May I use your photo of the Cove Burying Grounds sign for people who probably are buried there? As I normally do, your credit will be like "photo by Mary Harrell-Sesniak for Find A Grave #34166386".

|Ahmed Quereshi||J. Pitt Simpson|
Hi, Mary. I have a couple of pending edits on J. Pitt Simpson to add his parents. If you could approve those, that would be great. He was one of my great great uncles. He's buried next to his wife and his findagrave number is 10961906 and you are listed as the creator. I'm also trying to see if his son, Richard Pitt Simpson, who was born 12/19/1914 and died in 1969 is the same Richard Simpson in this same cemetery. The Richard Simpson in this cemetery is findagrave 123975719. Do you live close by and are you able to photograph Richard Simpson 123975719? I'm also looking for his daughter, Lorna Winifred Simpson (1908-1995), who also died in the same county and I assume is in the same cemetery, although she doesn't appear. Maybe she is buried on one of these plots without a marker or maybe her marker just hasn't been photographed yet? Please approve the edits above and let me know whether you can photograph the Richard Simpson grave. Thank you.
|Virginia DeMarce||Elizabeth Appleton|
In regard to the findagrave.com memorial #101837618 you have entered, do you have a source for "Crosby" as her maiden name other than the presence of an Elizabeth Crosby in her husband's household in the 1850 census? I ask because my grandmother's father was a Cheavens from Philadelphia, and this Elizabeth's marriage announcement is:
1846, May 29, Public Ledger, Philadelphia, Pa. p. 2, col. 3. Married. By the Rev. Wm. Cooper, Mr. Thomas Appleton to Miss Elizabeth Cheavens, all of Philadelphia.

I totally understand. My new found Buerger brothers have been keeping me on my toes. No sooner than you can say BOO! They've got me working Kositzka people ... Seriously, the surnames are killing me. And a lot of the records I'm having to work are in GERMAN ... eeke!
At the moment, I think the only memorial I'd like to manage is Joseph Thomas Klenovsky, Find A Grave Memorial# 50581077.
The other Fricke children are in a different cemeteries.
Have happy holidays ... and remember, I totally appreciate the transfer, your mom's dedication and all the work you've done.
