Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am a mostly retired land surveyor living in Northern California and I enjoy taking pictures in cemeteries. These photos are posted at 1200 pixels wide. I took them at 3650 pixels wide. copies of the higher quality photos can be emailed if you want them. Please let me know, I will gladly e-mail them on request. I will transfer management of memorials to almost anyone who wants them, and have been known to transfer management even if you don't ask.

From my genealogy point of view, I'm interested in Houghtaling (c. 1800), Babcock (c. 1800), both in New York State.

If you need some research done on the families of any persons who's photos I've posted in my geographical area, let me know. I have friends who may be willing to do some research "just because they like to." [1/14]

Dear Jerry,

My heart sings for you and your kindness with dealing with duplicates and doing the right thing! I appreciate you not being a part of chaos with duplicates. With that said, I have transferred him to your care as I am not related AND because you live in northern California! My hometown was Los Gatos and missing home terribly!

Thanks again and thank you for being a wonderful part of the Find A Grave community!

RE: oldest profession?
No offense intended, as I have been told in the past by some PLSs :)
From Point to Point
The first legal description of land was recorded in the Bible when God gave the Israelites the "Promised Land".

Kindred spirit RE: GerbLady
Hello, and thanks for your message. I had to look into my Ancetry Places feature and found about 6 extended family members living in Nova Scotia about 150-200 yrs ago. Knapp and Denton families. Possibly not only kindred ;). They are in my Ancestry tree Sleepy Hollow II, my profile link is on my F-A-G profile if interested. I see you have the world's oldest occupation, Survey. Just do not forget they used to Civil Engineers also. LOL.
