I am a retired engineer living in Michigan who fills in many of his days with golf and woodworking.|
But my favorite retirement activity is discovering my family genealogy history along with the stories and oral history as it has been passed down through the generations.
I have documented 7000+ family member's genealogy using MyHeritage software on a private family web site. Now I am adding some of my ancestors to Find A Grave to make some of my findings public.
Genealogy records available for any branches of my family if you are related to one of my documented memorials. Also fell free to use any of my posted photos. Higher quality versions are usually available for the asking.

You are very welcome. I'm sorry my reflection is in the cemetery title. In case you didn't know, the cemetery is on Union Church Road. The church is long gone, but the cemetery remains and is kept in good condition.

I think I have found who you were looking for but they are buried in Fairview Cemetery instead of Oakwood, both in Denison. I will try to find their graves.

My pleasure. My husband and I flew in from Nebraska, but I made a lot of phone calls to get the right person with the key. We will go out and do retakes AGAIN because a lot of them are very hard to get good pictures. I will let my husband and the other two women that took pictures with us that it is appreciated.

My daughter and I hurried out to the cemetery to take photos because we had an unusually cloudy day - good for picture taking without shadows! Unfortunately, since it had rained heavily the night before, some of the stones were darkened with moisture and still wet. When I get back out there sometime on a dry, sunny day, I will retake that photo so there won't be a shadow across his grave stone.

You are welcomed. I have quite a few more photos for Atwell's that I will be posting soon.

I am sorry, I got confused because the dates matched. I did not see any other Catherine Yard while I visited the cemetery, other that the one I posted pictures for. The section with the Yard family only had a few stones the rest was open. Again,I am very sorry. I wish you luck. :)

Thank you for the posting of the obituary....I am related to the Shipmans, My grandmother was a Shipman and I never knew much about them so it has been a slow go finding and sorting them out..I have found that some of them or so missed up on Ancestry.com....they have my grandmother listed with 2 different men as her father...I will get there but it will take a while....I may be calling on you to send me the one you have or at least their info one of these days...tahnks again.
