I have a passion for anything old; antiques, histories of old communities, and especially old cemeteries. The more I photograph and transcribe them, mainly in Nevada County, California, the more I learn about the people. That is what is most fascinating to me. I have a Bachelors Degree in History and hope to continue to photograph the old headstones for many years to come. I believe in preserving the old cemeteries and documenting the markers left by old pioneers.

RE: Cornelius C. Geist
Yes, I live about 20 miles north east of Pittsburgh. I've been to Jefferson and Clarion Co.s. I love the area. My mother was born near Worthville. The moved when she was 5.
Where do you live?

I should have said it was spelled Wonderly.
Louise is #10 and she married Theodore McCain
Wonderling.

Information under C.C. Geist has daughter Louise Elizabeth Geist married to Wunderly. It should be spelled Wonderling. Louise was my grandmother.

Eleanora Eva and Ray Hays
Hi,
Thanks so much for your work on the Pine Grove cemetery! Without it I would not have been able to solve a genealogical puzzle. I'm grateful!

And, just to let you know, you have Eva Eleanora Hays indicated as the child of Ray Hays, but in fact she was his first wife (second wife was Maude Langman Hays). Eva's maiden name was Hartman. Ray was living with her mother (Eliza A [Weller] Hartman) and sisters (Martha [Hartman] Eddy and Almira C Hartman) in the 1910 census.

Maude died after Ray, so of course she would have had their headstone made as a couple's headstone; this makes Eva's look like a child's but that's not correct. As far as I can tell, Ray never had children with either wife.

Thanks again,
Meredith Lane

Memorial # 126921333 I recently submitted a request to you and also find a grave. The photo request for find a grave was returned undeliverable. I would like to know if Daniel Doyle has a grave marker?
Thank you, Mary Gallagher

If you know how to take over the Grave Memorial, you can then add what you want. I've been trying to get over there to retake the photo. The cemetery is very over grown. I've gone out a couple of times and tried to clean up some with a friend. We're only good for working for about 2 hours when we go. Our bodies tire out. Am trying to get a younger friend to go with me and bring a chain saw and a weedeater. If you don't want to take over the memorial, send me the paper or information and I will be happy to put it on. Keep up the good work.
