Bio and Links
Bio Photo Very few of the people who have ever lived ever show up in the history books. It is mostly through genealogy and websites like this that they are ever remembered.

While any picture is better than no picture please avoid the temptation to post a picture of a grave marker that isn't better than the picture(s) already on a memorial simply because you took a picture. Pictures that are dark, taken at goofy angles, blurred, too far away, clip the tombstone/inscription or otherwise unreadable don't really help and shouldn't be posted.

Tim, What a beautiful photo you took of my ancestor named above! THANK YOU so much, I truly appreciate it as we cannot get up there to do it ourselves. Means a lot. Have a blessed Thanksgiving. SM (Sue)

Elisabeth Steckel 1807-1827
I am trying to decipher the headstone for Elisabeth Steckel. Do you have a higher quality photo that might help me read the small inscription at the bottom. I think this is what it says on top.:

Here rests the body of Elisabeth Steckel First born Susz She was born June 29, 1807 Died June 28, 1827 20 years old less one day She was the wife of Carl Steckel..... (can't make out the last words)
