I have been researching our roots for many years. There is something very satisfying in discovering all about my family history; and there is always more to learn! |
As well as its primary purpose being a grave registration site, FindAGrave is a wonderful way to memorialize our ancestors, and a great genealogical resource. My husband and I enjoy contributing to this website, honoring those who have gone before us, and helping others to find their long lost family.
We respect the guidelines set forth for this website.
We will be happy to add proper info and links to memorials that are sent via the EDIT tab on the memorial. We do not link to burial unknowns. We do not add (copy & paste) obituaries that are less than 70 years in the past. We will glean information from them to add to the bio section of the memorial. Please cite the source of the obituary information being sent to us. Please DO NOT ADD SCANNED OBITUARIES/NEWSPAPER ARTICLES to the photo slots on any memorials that we maintain, PER FindAGrave POLICIES.
Transfer requests will be made for direct family members, within 4 generations, as set by the guidelines.
Please make all SACs and transfer requests through the edit tab on the memorial itself.
All photos that we post are bound by copyright rules. Do not take any of them for your own use, neither on this website, nor anywhere else. Do not alter them for re-posting here, nor anywhere else. Thank you :)

While fulfilling your photo requests for James, John, and Robert I also found a headstone for Barbara. Here is the information from the Mt. Olivet online database:
Date of Interment: 06/15/2015
Cemetery: Mt. Olivet Cemetery
Location: Section 75, Lot 128, Space 2
If you will send me an email at email@example.com I will forward the photo of the headstone to you.

Thank you so much for accepting the edits for John. Slowly his family is being united! I appreciate the time you spend on F.A.G.!

His ashes were spread according to Claudia his daughter. Judy is his second wife and perhaps she does not agree with cremation,
I would like to have a photo of the headstone for my genealogy book if you do not mind.
His first wife was my aunt. Geneva and their son, Mitch, are both cremated and in the same plot in Albuquerque.
Not everyone agrees with cremation so maybe Judy doesn't want to e cremated.
I would appreciate a photo and we will just leave it like this. I am sure Judy just put his name on there for the sake of having evidence that he was her husband at the time of his death.

I previously requested permission to take care of my uncle's memorial and you turned the issue down. Hal has a daughter, Claudia, and she informed me Uncle Hal was cremated and his ashes spread over some of their land they owned in Alamogordo. Is there an actual burial plot at that cemetery for Uncle Hal?
I have hunted and hunted for an obituary for my genealogy book and to no avail. This has me digging further to find out.
If you can help me fine and I thank you.

I have added a photo of Jacob Wentzel tombstone along with the correct date he passed away on.

This is my Uncle Hal and I would very much like to have this page so that I can take care of it and add photos. Thank you very much

You're very welcome. The cemetery office has no record of Thomas there so I suspect he is buried someplace in Michigan where he was living. All I have to go by is (unfortunately) work done by other researchers on Ancestry. I don't like to rely on others work without having documentation to back it up but records on him seem very scant. There isn't even an obituary for him in the local paper here for him.
I transferred his memorial to you so if there are any developments you can make the adjustments since I have no relationship/connection to this line. Sorry I couldn't do more. Good luck in your search!
