Bio and Links
Bio Photo I love the way findagrave.com combines geography with history. The places our ancestors lived are as important as their names and dates. It's hard to pass up a cemetery. Whether you know someone buried there or not, you know the people there were treasured by someone, and all of them had a story.

When I run into a brick wall on my Blanset, Naylor, Williams, Ecker, or Rosa ancestors, I am happy to chase somebody else's. It's always fascinating to unravel a mystery, and fun to share with someone who wants to know.

The Internet is a fabulous tool for researching family history, but it doesn't match the thrill of discovery in a musty courthouse vault or a shady cemetery. I'm glad that we share our finds, but I hope everyone interested in family history gets the chance to walk the ground their ancestors walked.

RE: Georgetown, SC Jewish Cemtery
Following your good advice I came across this page that lists those buried and you can click for an image of their grave stone.

Thanks again.

Thanks, Janet, for the good advice. I guess I wrote to you because you were credited with two photos and I didn't see anyone else's name connected with it. :)

Thanks again.

I came across this publication and wondered if it would be okay to post it in connection with this cemetery?

Many thanks.

RE: Eshcol Cemetery - Perry County
Janet,

Not sure what's wrong with my computer, but all of the little maps for Find-a-Grave cemeteries keep disappearing on me!

I see it and when I go to look again, it's gone! So would you happen to have the address or at least the street name for this cemetery.

I know the Clousers I'm looking aren't there, but if I'm up that way, I'd like to see where it it, just for the fun of it!

Thanks so much.

Mary Walker Obiturary
On this Find-A-Grave posting it references the September 15th, 1819 edition of the Winyaw Intelligencer newspaper. My G-G-G grandmother's (Mary Walker) obituary is also in this edition of the paper. Does whoever posted this know if there is a copy in existence somewhere? I need it for proof of parentage to join the South Carolina Huguenot Society. Any help is appreciated.

RE: Clousers in Eshcol cemetery
Janet,

Thank you for checking that for me.

Question, and maybe you don't know this, but if it's found they're in another cemetery, can the memorial be changed to reflect that if the "owner" isn't active anymore?

Thanks so much.

RE: Eshcol Cemetery - Perry County
Janet,

I'm looking for Samuel Clouser, memorial #58329412 & Rebecca Wentz Clouser, memorial #58329443, although the person who posted them isn't sure they're buried there.

And it looks like they no longer have an active Find-a-Grave "account. At least when I click on the hyperlink, it says it's not available. Or I would have asked them how sure they are they're buried there.

I'll look at the map again, and see if I can figure it out.

Thanks so much.

Eshcol Cemetery - Perry County
Janet,

I see you've taken pictures at this cemetery - great!

Would you be so kind as to give me an address? It looks like I have ancestors there as well, and I'd love to get there to look around and hopefully get some of my own pictures - if they have headstones!

Your assistance is greatly appreciated.
