Bio and Links
Bio Photo Please let me know if you would like me to transfer any of my memorials to your family that are not in my family. My grandson Owen and I really enjoy this time together. He especially likes the veteran areas and is really into Gettysburg and Lincoln. We found a relative that had brunch with Lincoln on the day of his address and then she sat on the platform steps to hear his speech.

We have taken many extra photos when looking for family so that someone else can use them. Please do not hesitate to ask for a transfer.

There are many headstones that are completely erased by time or very hard to read. I will list those as Unknown in the hope that maybe someone will recognize them. I will leave flowers so that they know they were not forgotten.

And for all the Findagrave members, there is a light at the end of the tunnel. I was fortunate enough to have an encounter with my Dad who passed in 1995. While visiting our cemetery, I always stop and check the flowers I had put on the grave. Last time I was there, I was sitting in my car (hot outside) and a brief fragrance came past me. I recognized it immediately. It was the same way my Dad smelled after showering and shaving in the morning getting ready for the office. I have not smelled that pleasant fragrance since 1995.

The latest surprise I had was at Hampton Union cemetery in Hampton, PA. When I got home and loaded my photos on the computer, I had a picture I did not take. It was a complete figure of a person that was translucent. But the odd part was that I was alone that day. It could have been me but my arms are not long enough to take a full body picture and there was no background--no other stones, trees, grass or houses--just white.

Sheila, Thank you very much! I am so thankful for your generosity. :) If you have time to grab another photo of his and perhaps his wife? No rush, whenever you get a chance. If there is one for William, their son, would you mind terribly grabbing that one to please? I am so grateful for your doing this Sheila. It made my day!

RE: Raymond Bankert
Yes, it is me! My Dad started on the Blums years ago before he died. He didn't have a computer and would go to the Historical Society. He always was excited about his finds. I thought it was BORING! I remember him telling me one day you will enjoy this. Well I'll be darn! Now the book on Blums is three times as thick and I have CRISTS in about five books hoping some day I can find the link. Another book with just cemeteries. My latest project and you may remember was gently cleaning the tombstones at the cemetery behind our church in Wrightsville. Our group was small but mighty. We transcribed them as we did them. I think you were actually the one to enter the data and I thought it might be you, but I didn't ask. It would be the Old Union (Presbyterian) Cemetery. I am sure my Dad is smiling and saying "Told you so!" Your friend - Jackie Blum Crist
