Bio and Links
Bio Photo Please let me know if you would like me to transfer any of my memorials to your family that are not in my family. My grandson Owen and I really enjoy this time together. He especially likes the veteran areas and is really into Gettysburg and Lincoln. We found a relative that had brunch with Lincoln on the day of his address and then she sat on the platform steps to hear his speech.

We have taken many extra photos when looking for family so that someone else can use them. Please do not hesitate to ask for a transfer.

There are many headstones that are completely erased by time or very hard to read. I will list those as Unknown in the hope that maybe someone will recognize them. I will leave flowers so that they know they were not forgotten.

And for all the Findagrave members, there is a light at the end of the tunnel. I was fortunate enough to have an encounter with my Dad who passed in 1995. While visiting our cemetery, I always stop and check the flowers I had put on the grave. Last time I was there, I was sitting in my car (hot outside) and a brief fragrance came past me. I recognized it immediately. It was the same way my Dad smelled after showering and shaving in the morning getting ready for the office. I have not smelled that pleasant fragrance since 1995.

The latest surprise I had was at Hampton Union cemetery in Hampton, PA. When I got home and loaded my photos on the computer, I had a picture I did not take. It was a complete figure of a person that was translucent. But the odd part was that I was alone that day. It could have been me but my arms are not long enough to take a full body picture and there was no background--no other stones, trees, grass or houses--just white.

RE: Edward L Cooper
I wrote yesterday about Find A Grave Memorial# 139444264 (Edward Leon Cooper). You may transfer it to me if you like. And thanks for creating it.

Edward L Cooper
In your recent posting for Ed you state you had no confirmation re his birth parents. I know their last name was Dellinger but don't know their first names. I think he was 11 or 12 when he was adopted.
I don't have a copy of his graduation photo -- in fact I don't think he had one taken. But he played baseball and basketball on the HS teams, and I will scan him in one of those photos to post. I was his classmate at EHS Class of '58.

RE: Allena Franklin #76460432
This is absolutely amazing and has "made my day". Allena still has a living son with whom I share family history information. I know he will appreciate your special efforts also. Cheers to you as you continue the search for other "lost" markers; I wish you much success.

What a most pleasant surprise that you have been able to fulfill my request for a photo of the grave marker for Allena Franklin #76460432.

I am curious to know if you had to literally unearth the marker. I am amazed that the marker has been preserved through 22 years of cemetery maintenance.

Cheers to you.

RE: Mamie Rittenhouse
Thanks Sheila! The memorial for the three family members are in two separate cemetery listings, same stone, that's why I was wondering. So hard to figure out when you're not there in person :) Thanks for the update, I'll leave it to you to decide what needs to be done. Thanks again for the update!

Mamie Rittenhouse
Same issues as William Rittenhouse. I think there is a confusion in cemetery names. These memorials were previously done in 2010 but under Freysville Cemetery.

William H. Rittenhouse
I believe this is the same William Rittenhouse buried at Freysville Cemetery, same stone, same family names. I'm wondering if there are two names for this cemetery.
