York and Adams County, PA Cemetery Pictures

Harry Senft has taken over 282,811 pictures of of headstones, 334 cemeteries in York and Adams counties that are ALL posted online.

(Also, there are some in Cumberland Co., PA, Lancaster Co. PA, and one in Carroll County, MD.)

In conjunction with FamilyHart (aka Don & Jeanine Hartman), Custom Google Maps for each cemetery location have been produced so that the user can easily find the cemetery. An index of the cemeteries listed is also provided by name and by location. In addition, indexing of the actual cemetery picture files with links to the FamilysHart Online Databaseare being compiled. The FamilyHart Online Database contains over 914,000 linked family names, most of which have connections to York and Adams counties. This family database is the most comprehensive and complete listing of York and Adams County names on the Internet. It grows by about 1,000 names per week, and is updated online quarterly.
By The Hartman's
The York County Cemeteries USGenWeb site is a relatively comprehensive site for finding transcriptions and pictures of Tombstones in York County. Many of Harry Senft's pictures (and those of others) are posted here and are indexed by cemetery. Also found here are transcriptions of many cemeteries (some complete and many incomplete.) These transcriptions are valuable as they often include stones that are no longer readable and may not show up on photo images. Also many cemeteries only have transcriptions. Neither this site or the FamilyHart site are all inclusive for burials in York County but used together they provide the most comprehensive record of burials in the county found online.
There are over 345 different cemeteries in the county. Finding the right cemetery is compounded by the fact that many cemeteries have changed names over the years and are now known by different names. A comprehensive list of cemeteries can be found at York County Cemeteries and Locations. This link does not have burials listed but is the most complete listing of all the cemeteries in York County.

RE: Sarah A Brenneman Krebs
Harry,
I should be apologizing to you. I have had a short fuse lately. I've been trying to connect spouses, parents and siblings from Saginaw Cemetery to the rest of their family. I have a copy of the burials from the Cemetery when it was surveyed in 1932. To clarify what I would like to see on the Find A Grave format is, when I go to the relationship memorial number page, is to have the spouse's memorial number, no matter whether it is the husband, the wife or multiples of either so I can make the connections without jumping back to the spouse for the other's memorial number.
I didn't realize as the program is now, that it doubles the listing of the spouse on the first page.
Having been a member for nine years I have learned to feel confident that when I see you have been connected with a memorial that I can put a lot of trust in it.
Although I am a first generation York Countian my wife's families have been here for hundreds of years which is what I spend most of my time researching.
Peace!

This is not "Facebook". So I do not do. So I do not do "Likes". This is a matter of looking for the spouse and their Memorial number from one spouse without always bouncing back and forth between the two to get the information desired.

Rodney Deardorff
Rodney Deardorff passed away. I will be entering him shortly. He is the grandson of Richard Deardorff, the man you left a flower for.

Thank you for the photo of the grave marker for Ira A. Brown. I think this is the man who did so much research on the Dierdorff-Deardorff families in York County. His work has been helpful to me and I wanted him to be remembered.
