I have always taken an interest in history and genealogy which I inherited from my gr-grandfather Porter Matteson. I find this site helps me to help others find their loved ones, even if they can't actually visit the graves. I enjoy helping with this mission. My goal is to eventually have most of the tombstones in McLennan County, Texas online for everyone to see.|
I am willing to do some research if needed in McLennan and Falls County.

Thank you for your email, confirming that you will Transfer HARRISON RUFFIN MORRIS & MARTHA ANN CHEATHAM MORRIS, to me. I am checking with you to find out how I will know when you have processed the transfer.
I have a poem Martha Ann wrote to her granddaughter that I am eager to post & pictures of Martha Ann when she was young, middle aged & old (as I am now).
Also, I believe you will want to know that Nancy S. Morris was the daughter of JAMES & MELVINA MORRIS and she had a younger sister, Harriett, and a younger brother, William.
This is not Nancy Burgess who was widow of John Henry Morris. Through DNA I have found my Nancy's Burgess parents & siblings.
Again, I appreciate your intent & work & I hope you know that. I believe you do. And I will certainly credit you for it on the Memorial. Thanks again, Ginie
|deanna french||Falls Co Tx.. photo H.G.Carter|
I am a Vermont Civil War buff, and am working on a project to identify the last resting places of many of our "old soldiers" that had ties to Vt. Harvey G.Carter was one such soldier. he was born in Weston, Vermont, and later went west and joined the Confederate Calv. Although on opposite sides as most Vermonters, we honor him for fighting for what he believed in. I am asking you if I could use the photo that you contributed to his Find A Grave Memorial, to be posted on the Vt. C.W. site? ( www.vermontcivilwar.org
You would receive credit for this.
Thank you for consideration on this.

Thank you for transferring Gloria's Memorial Page to me. She was such a kind person. We went to high school together and she was my best friend. When I married, I asked her to be my maid of honor. There isn't one negative thing I could say about her. She was a dedicated Christian woman.

|Nancy Yankie Sidarous||MARTHA FRANCES ALLEN CARTER|
I want to sincerely thank you for the great kindness and generosity you've shown in transferring Frances to us. Known in the family as Frances, she is actually named for my Great Grandmother, her Grandmother, Martha Jane Franklin Whitfield. Frances couldn't have children of her own, is an only child who was also divorced, and now I feel that we have her back with us instead of out there sort of alone. It was just so very nice of you to make the transfer. Thank you very sweetly, Nancy
