Please let me know if you would like me to transfer any of my memorials to your family that are not in my family. My grandson Owen (11 yrs old) and I really enjoy this. He especially likes the veteran areas. He is really into Gettysburg and Lincoln. We found a relative that had brunch with Lincoln on the day of his address and then she sat on the platform steps to hear the address. |
We have taken many extra photos when looking for family so that someone else can use them. Please do not hesitate to ask for a transfer.
There are many headstones that are completely erased by time or very hard to read. I will list those as Unknown in the hope that maybe someone will recognize them. I will leave flowers so that they know they were not forgotten.
And for all the Findagrave members, there is a light at the end of the tunnel. I was fortunate enough to have an encounter with my Dad who passed in 1995. While visiting our cemetery I always stop and check the flowers I put on the grave. Last time I was there, I was sitting in my car (hot outside) and a brief fragrance came past me. I recognized it immediately. It was the same way my Dad smelled after showering and shaving in the morning getting ready for the office. I have not smelled that pleasant fragrance since 1995.

Thanks for transferring all of those Steins at Freysville. I have begun the task of linking and updating the listings! Much appreciated!
|Harry Senft||RE: Oberdick|
Don't worry, I keep the memorials I could update and returned the memorials I couldn't add to.
|Glenn Benner||Puzzle Solved!|
Thank you for all the help with the Benjamin L. puzzle. Check your email for details.
Your kindness is very much appreciated. Best Wishes,

Go ahead and transfer I still have a little more to add.
|Glenn Benner||Benjamin Lanius|
I also found a Diana Berkel on F.A.G. yesterday & sent her the same question. She replied via email. I have forwarded the two emails to you, so you know where things stand. I did forget to mention to you that the "Lonious" spelling is used on the Gettysburg Memorial. (See email attachment).
Thank you in advance for your kind help,
|Glenn Benner||Benjamin Lanius/Lonius|
Thank you for all your hard work on find-a-grave! My name is Glenn Benner from Lancaster, Pa. I have been researching my gg-grandfather`s civil war unit. I am searching for a Benjamin Lonius who served with Co.D 2nd Pennsylvania Volunteer Cavalry.
I saw that there is a Benjamin Lanius at Prospect Hill in York (F.A.G. #44916983). Is he part of your family? Have you ever run into any info on him during your family research? Can you help with this puzzle? Thanks Again and Best Wishes, Glenn
THANK YOU SO MUCH. WE'RE STILL LOOKING AND ENJOYING DOING THIS.

|Joanne Davis Shorb||Jacob Druck Family|
Jacob Druck and his wife Elizabeth Strong Druck and four children, Briscilla, Susanna, Martin and Edward are all buried at Mount Zion Lutheran Cemetery in Springettsbury Township, not in the Fairview Cemetery in Wrightsville. I know it is easy to get pictures and cemeteries mixed up when you get home. Please recheck your records. I am related to both the Druck and the Strong side. My mother and I have research that we began back in the 70's. I'm willing to help you verify things if you ever want to.
