If you are researching Missouri relatives, be sure to check out the state death certificate database, found here:

Cooper County cemetery information can also be found online:

Much of the information I post originates from those two sites.

1/2015 update: Going through memorials I have transferred, I'm astonished at the number of people who wanted transfers but have done nothing with them. If you ask for a transfer, please add a bio, add a photo...at least add a flower!

John Howard
Howard Cemetery
Hi Carol,

I remember well going to this cemetery. It is located on private farm property and is about a quarter mile hike to get to. It was not maintained and I had to unearth the stones that I found. There were remnants of several more stones, most of which were unreadable, and many were in pieces. If you do go, email me and I will send you the name of the farm owner. Please let me know if you get any more names and photos from there.

P.S. I found 4 more photos that I took there and added 3 of them to your records, plus added one new name: Hezekiah Hogue. I have nothing more at this point.

Regards,
John Howard

Reunion
Hi!
I am ashamed of myself.. I cannot remember how you are related to Wm Weber.. We are having our regular little get together Sunday and remember they had asked who was Grandme Carol. I am getting old and forgetful. I know I had your name.. My sight is bad so I don't do much searching anymore. Would love to tell everyone your name on Sunday.
I know you must be a fifth eleventh cousin of my husband Tom..
Thank you! Mary

Jessica Lynn Forbis -- Memorial #134367983
Thank you for adding this memorial to my niece. Here is more bio information:

Father: Paul Donald Forbis (1958-2014)
Mother: Janet Lynn Dameron (1960-Still Living)

Born: St. Mary's Hospital, Jefferson City, Cole County, Missouri

She was born with a deformed heart, but she was a beautiful little baby girl. We all love her dearly and miss her just as much.

Once again, thank you for adding the memorial.

Vergie Newell
Hi,
I have noticed that Find A Grave has finally merged our memorials for Vergie. My duplicate no longer exists as they have moved some of my info over to your memorial,(and deleted my memorial,) and left you as the original creator. Sometimes it takes Find A Grave a long time to get these problems solved but I noticed this morning that our problem with the duplicate situation has been solved. All is well......Barbara

The Irish Lady
Clayton Cemetery - Ruth Barnhart "Little Ruthy"
This is so exciting. I'm a direct descendant of Abraham Hoover Barnhart and we never knew about his child's (Jesse Franklin's) daughter Ruth.
Wonder about her, but I'll research her more, now.

I wonder if you'd allow me to use the picture in the family research, with credit of course?
